if u ask me for this standard, go wit mono blakc rogue (prowl abuse)...

of course wit money the deck surely get better...
G/B is better as it gives more options lke removals and profane command for the last few points of life...

as for mono black rouge prowl, chapin deck does not run thoguhtseize...
i also agree its not needed as the first turn would be for prowl enablers...
i jz love how this deck flow and considering making this deck over teachings now (teachings jz too slow to keep up now)...

and btw slowly improve ur deck as money do give u resultsl lol..

erm the mono black rogue prowl deck hasnt been seen much???

thoughtseize is not needed at all for a deck which wants enabler on turn 1...
chapin did a decklist for the deck which looks realyl strong and without thoguhseize...
i agree wit heretic bout the consistency of the deck due to the nice curves (though bad moon hamper it abit)...
haven heard much of it other than how good is it (no tournament stats)...
its really a killer for many black based deck out there and the speed can kil control deck fast...

btw how would BR control do in current standard?
spot removals: incinerate and other black removal
mass removals: damantion, pyroclasm, sulfurous blast and void
creatures: shirekmaw, tombstalker, mirri, gargadon, mogg, siege gang
utility: mannequin, extirpate, grim harvest
anti control: sulfur elemental, red akroma
really tempted to give it a try considering the amount of good cards in the field...

yo guys finally back in kl so will be active in magic again haha...
anyways the discussion of luck...
most pro players would build their deck to reduce the luck factor enough such as limiting to 60 cards, 4 of a kind as well as tutoring and so forth...
so luck is a part of the game but how to reduce the reliance of luck is equally important?

haven been playing magic since ptq kl in pg lol...
my teachings deck was not updated at all (die la)

lol its 4 months old deck and i didnt update it...
so kinda existed for me i guess...
did kinda well in FNM winning 1-0 (faeries/rogue) and 2-1 (overrun elves) before losing to Win 0-2 (kept drawing lands and no creatures and i forgot to tutor tolaria for urza zzz)...
pickles lock were totally awesome helping me a lot in the games i won (in fact all the game i won was from the lock with cryptic support)...
only problem was not drawing the teachings enough LOL...
and msotly need profane commands as finisher (got total of 30+ mana open in the 2nd game against Win wit nothing to cast)...

i think i'm the only one wit teachings there (and 5 coloured one that is)...
