Come on tammy. Have to at least get good contact on that second cross. He was nowhere near it. Haiz.

Hoiiii tammy with the championship level second touch...we're putting them under pressure, just not composed enough in their box. Why the hell do we choose to slow it down on the counter, I'll never understand.

Ahhh and I though tammy's finishing was poor today. Giroud just had to top that.

Not our best showing upfront. We moved the ball almost in slow motion sometimes. Cleansheet is good, even then we almost shot ourselves in the foot. Oh well. Anak emas was MOTM for me. Came closest to unlocking spurs.

Peehh giroud with the perfect hattrick. An amazing team performance, especially considering sevilla's home record. Love oli's second goal, that lob was special, so special in fact that I can't even recall who was our last player to actually score a lobbed goal!! anyone can help me out? I know bakayoko scored one under conte, which turned out to be the winning goal in a 1 nil win.
Surely we don't have to go back that far?oh and eden's panenka doesn't count Apart from giroud's match winning performance, we have to commend our defensive pairing at the back of rudi and christensen, both gave a great account of themselves. It's good to know frank can still rely on them in certain games. What about emerson though? I think he was one of our best defenders, played like a man possessed and actually harked back to his best form before that injury, early in frank's tenure. Didn't even know he had quality corner taking in his locker! Seems to have put on some muscle as well, if he keeps this up we definitely have a solid back up to chilly when he needs to rest. Those rumours about Italian clubs wanting to sign him on the cheap are gonna die off real quick, if we get this version of emerson on the regular. Azpi solid as always, these days he doesn't bomb up and down that flank as much, but I'm fine with that. Cap tried a bit too hard at times but you could see he's still trying to regain that fine form so it's only a matter of getting in more minutes. When he's up to speed, we'll have another match winner on our hands. The only player which slightly disappointed me was CHO. Once cap was brought off, frank gave him a run in his favourite position on that left wing and what does he do? Proceeds to casually pass it back inside to midfield every time he had a chance to drive down that line and create something. Didn't like watching that at all, I don't think he even tried to dribble or make an attacking pass, not even once. Chose the safe option every single time, and he even looked better when he was on the right! Such a strange showing from him after cap was subbed, but prior to that he was pretty good. Some stats posted on reddit showed he won 83% of his duels, won 2 tackles and made interceptions, highest in each category except tackles. So at least he had a great work ethic. Can't wait for the game against leeds now |

QUOTE(zoidx_chung @ Dec 4 2020, 11:50 AM) imo, some players play better in ucl compared to epl Fair enough, hope andreas and emerson can at least keep our first choice defenders on their toes, especially the former who's shown he has what it takes to succeed in the epl, under conte. Good to have competition within the squad, it'll push us to new heights. That four nil scoreline definitely didn't flatter us though, we deserved that maybe teams from other countries not that physical, i guess |

Worst performance of the season, easily. Havertz really should've come off 10 minutes earlier, and I don't understand the gilmour sub at all. Giroud was horrible as well and reminds us again why he rarely starts. Can hardly believe how slow we moved the ball today, it's like everyone was in holiday mood. Watched the manchester derby and thought it was rubbish, never expected us to actually surpass that. Shocking from everyone except james and kante.
Would rather frank take off giroud who did absolutely nothing for practically 80 minutes, and stick jorginho in the middle, while pushing mount out wide. We didn't deserve to win, carlo read us like a book. Mendy has to take a lot of the blame for the goal, but I'm more pissed with our attacking input today. |

0 wins in 5 games against top 10 opposition this season. Just a hard reality check for everyone on how we desperately need to improve that. Midfield was stacked there was just so many things we could've done differently like put gilmour/jorgi, kante, and kovacic/mount in the middle, stick reece (get azpi back at RB, you know he's always reliable) on the right or even emerson on that left, if frank believes the team is useless without wingers. At least both of them have good pace and can put a ball in.
