Returning the Device
The TV Device is to be returned to us in good working order upon the expiry of the Commitment Period.
In the event that the TV Device is not return to us upon the expiry of Commitment Period, this Plan(s) shall continue to be valid and effective for another one (1) month (“Extended Period”) wherein the TV Zerolution Fee shall continue to be payable to us. This Plan shall be terminated on the expiry of the Extended Period.
Within the Extended Period:
if you wish to terminate the Plan(s) and you return the TV Device to us in good working order, this Plan(s) shall be terminated and you shall not be liable to any TV Device non-return fee.
if you wish to terminate the Plan(s) or when the Plan(s) is terminated but you failed to return the TV Device to us on the termination of the Plan, a TV Device non-return fee (as stated in the Registration Form) will be charged as compensation. Upon payment of the TV Device non-return fee by you to us, the TV Device shall be regarded as belonging to you.
For the avoidance of doubt, notwithstanding anything to the contrary, we are not obliged to accept the TV Device should you seek to return the TV Device after the Extended Period.

Need to pay a certain fee to keep it. This plan just works like other Maxis Zerolution plan. Its more like a rental.

Yes its not worth it if you want to just upgrade your RM89 to RM219 for TV.
Coz you will be paying additional RM3307 (130x24+ 6 sst) which comes almost to the TV value.
I saw a shopee seller selling the TV model for RM3200 if buying around Klang Valley.

It is not bad if u count like this:
219x24+6 sst=5571
5571-3200=2371
2371/24=98.8

pay rm98.8 per month and get 500mbps i think very worth it.

Hi, Maxis employee here. Existing customers upgrading from 30/100/300mbps to 500mbps cannot get the mesh wifi for free, instead need to pay the RM25/month. When you upgrade, you will only get the TV for RM1/month. Mesh wifi only available for new customers upon registration.

Hello, got confirmation with Maxis HQ today, unless your contract is 2 years full and you decide recontract, you will get it for free with no penalty. But if you're still under the Maxis Fibre 2 year installation contract and get the free mesh wifi, you will trigger the RM500 penalty by our back end system. Please confirm with Maxis on your account or you will be paying RM500 for your "free" mesh wifi.

65 inch TV only for Maxis Unlimited Postpaid & Fibre customers.

If only Fibre, max is 50 inch TV.

To qualify for the 65 inch TV, need to sign up for a mobile plan. Lowest is RM 98 for 2 years.

Total?

RM 98 + RM 219 + RM 1 = RM 318 monthly excluding tax

After 2 years, u would have paid RM 7632.

IMO, not worth it.

Fibre only customer like me not rewarded despite being in the service for 5 years and paid on time 99%.

Time to transfer out from Maxis.

Maxis RM98 postpaid can add rm1 one time fee for Samsung A21s (RRP RM939)
Maxis Fibre 500mbps Rm219 + rm1 zerolution x24 months can get 65inch Samsung TV (RRP RM3,999)

Total Cost = (RM98x24) + RM1 + (RM219x24) + (RM1 x24) = RM7,633
Total Devices u get from Maxis in RRP = RM939 + RM3,999 = RM4,938

Expenses for unlimited mobile data + home fibre 500mbps per month = (RM7,633 - RM4,938) / 24 months = RM112.29 per month
If think like this u will feel better?? tongue.gif

Compare to u port out to unifi for 500mbps current price RM249 per month & cheapest telco with unlimited HIGH SPEED data quota & unlimited HOTSPOT plan is DIGI infinite RM150 per month = rm399 per month biggrin.gif

considering to switch to maxis fibre from unifi for the TV promotion, but it seems that it's not really worth it after paying rm79 x 24 = RM1896 for the 50" TV?

The Samsung 50" TV is from RM1850 on Shopee
https://shopee.com.my/search?facet=10040&ke...u7000%20samsung

Unless we memang are going for the 500/800 mbps package paying rm1 x 24 for the 65" TV:

Fibre only customer like me not rewarded despite being in the service for 5 years and paid on time 99%.

Time to transfer out from Maxis.
*
It’s not definitely not worth for normal users but if you are heavy user means that 219 + 128 it’s worth for me I say!
Atleast they giving unlimited Data for principal and share line for postpaid customers who combined with fibre and also giving 4G backup sim into router in case unifi fibre is down!
I took up Apple TV 4K for RM1 and it’s worth for me since Apple still selling it for RM999

upgrading my 10 year Samsung 43" plasma that recently died to this 65"

already 128 user, plus RM219 upgrading from 100mbps Unifi look like a bargain to me

128 + 219 + 1 + SST = RM369. + 2 mesh WIFI

Less than my current commitment LOL

But TU7000 is entry level for 2020 model and 1 year warranty from Samsung.

Thats the only setback i can think

Mine migrated from TM to Maxis in mid Oct. Installation was done in the same week. Maxis told me it will take at least 1 month for the TV delivery (supposed to be around mid Nov) but instead got a call from Maxis informing me that there will be further delay and they gave me RM250 rebate as a good will gesture. It was reflected in my latest bill.

Today I received a msg from MTT Solution that my TV will be delivered between 25/11 - 1/12. Asked me to choose an option.

Here are the options for installation of Samsung TV :-

a) Delivery only (without installation)
- It’s free of charge.

b) Install TV stand
- It’s free of charge. We will cover delivery + install the TV stand.

c) Existing Wall Bracket
- Installation fee of RM75. If you would like to install Samsung TV to your existing wall bracket which can be used and fits the new TV.

d) New Wall Bracket
- Drilling is required to install the new bracket. The installation fee covers manpower and new wall bracket.
- Installation fee is RM200 (for 65” TV).

I selected installation to existing TV bracket which is RM75. 65" will be difficult to install one person. Will update once I receive the TV.

thanks for the info bro, my installation done on 21/11/2020. I was checking with the technician on average waiting time. He told me 2months also some customers didnt receive. I was like WTF. I moved in to a new place and without TV is really GG.
And to add on no mesh device given. Called maxis just now, was told that samsung will call me within 10 days working days and at the moment TV is out of stock. And for mesh device will be getting call from maxis soon. Sigh...subscribed for 500mbps package. confused.gif confused.gif

I just downgraded my 128 to 98 yesterday over the phone coz my earlier line contract just over. No any issue at all. Now I m under Unlimited 98 + fibre 500mbps + RM1 65" TV. I dont see any requirement of must take 128 to get 65" TV.

Could be due to overwhelming subscription. Yesterday the MTT Solution guys came over from Shah Alam to setup the TV. Their 1 tan lorry was full of TV boxes. All for Malacca subscribers. The TV is good for such an offer. Upgrade from my 46". So still getting use to it... need proper seated distance. Anyway its a very good offer for me not to miss coz my earlier 8 years old TV already started having vertical line at the side. Its a right timing.

65" Samsung AU7000 4K UHD Smart TV Short Review

user posted image

After a month using this TV where I bought it RM 1 per month for 3 years using Maxis Fiber 500Mbps package. In overall I am satisfied. It is a value TV but the output is ok. Not perfect but ok.
Before start my short review, I would like to point out few step to make this TV better.

Step to make this TV better
  • Disable Global Dimming - Disable this can prevent screen out of sudden change of brightness drastically where Samsung make it too dimmer to the screen on very dark scenes to make black more black but this actually making the screen look bad instead of better, or prevent the star missing in the dark sky 😝 No TV without FALD should turn this thing on. This required traditional remote control or you can just using Smartphone remote control to access the Service Menu for turning off this mistakenly make Global Dimming by changing the value of all the value of PWM_INI_2D, PWM_MOVIE_INI and PWM Mid to 100. More instruction here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov9niiau5x4
  • Changing to Film Maker Mode - This is the best accurate mode. It work fine in SDR and HDR (after some tune). White Temperature Warm 2 default value is the best and no changes is required.
  • My preferable Tune in HDR - Contrast Enhancer - High, Gamma ST.2084 Level to 3. This two setting might not the most accurate but it at least make the HDR look fine and not too flat and dull. This TV HDR nits is not high and some compensation is required.
  • My preferable others Expert Settings - HDR Colour 33, SDR Colour 27 (both default is 30), Sharpness to 8 (default value is 10), Picture Clarity Settings to Custom and Judder Reduction to 3.
After above tunes, below is my short summary of this TV.
  • Video Quality - SDR setting is brilliant and awesome, color is accurate in Film Maker Mode with Color Temperature remain as Warm 2. For HDR wise, by default it is too dimmer and flat especially on dark scenes but it looks ok after above tunes. Of course they is no way to compare with my LG C9 OLED TV where perfection even on Dark Scenes. Above all this tunes for HDR might not required if this TV have higher and better nits output for HDR. The screen grey uniformity is good and light bleeding is also good in control to me. Black is fine to me and no required of Global Dimming. This TV is well perform in normal lighting room. It is not for total dark room or full of windows very bright room. MKV support is near to perfect, the only cons here is not support of DTS track and also as usual no support of Dolby Vision and I had no issue playback from connected external USB 3.0 HDD.
  • Sound Quality - Frank speak I am shock as I long time never heard sound output from TV is such great where Sound Bar is not required if you not very high demand on Sound System. I give this TV speaker 10 out of 10. Wow!
  • Design - It just simply stunning for such value TV. The original price when initial release of this 65" TV was RM 4,599.00 only.
  • Performance - It is smooth for accessing build in Streaming platform and performed perfectly well. If you only watch Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Apple TV+ and Apple Music (I love you can turn off the TV screen and remain music continue playback), no 3rd party TV Box is actually required. The bad thing is Samsung still not support Disney+ Hotstar officially (I did not try the not official way where Disney+ Hotstar keep make it not working) and this required 3rd party TV Box if you need this streaming service. But they is one thing I like to complain, can't Samsung added a much better processor to handling the Settings Menu, navigate the Settings Menu is very lagging and slow.
That it my review on this TV, to me it is good to get if you can get discount on it, or you need Maxis Fiber 500Mbps package and RM 36 (RM 1 per month for 3 years contract) is nothing to complain and value to owned this TV.

Service Menu for Disable Global Dimming - changing the value of all the value of PWM_INI_2D, PWM_MOVIE_INI and PWM Mid to 100. Screenshot below is the default (before modified) value.

If yes, is it AU7000 same model as the review by andrewtst?
