Goto maxis center just now, they say I am not eligible for this TV...

Need to return the TV upon 23 months (extend additional 1 month) commitment expiry. Now I m under Unifi Turbo 500mbps for RM179. No contract. Worth the migration to Maxis fibre 500mbps?

QUOTE(Tuneman @ Sep 21 2020, 10:50 AM)
Returning the Device
The TV Device is to be returned to us in good working order upon the expiry of the Commitment Period.
In the event that the TV Device is not return to us upon the expiry of Commitment Period, this Plan(s) shall continue to be valid and effective for another one (1) month (“Extended Period”) wherein the TV Zerolution Fee shall continue to be payable to us. This Plan shall be terminated on the expiry of the Extended Period.
Within the Extended Period:
if you wish to terminate the Plan(s) and you return the TV Device to us in good working order, this Plan(s) shall be terminated and you shall not be liable to any TV Device non-return fee.
if you wish to terminate the Plan(s) or when the Plan(s) is terminated but you failed to return the TV Device to us on the termination of the Plan, a TV Device non-return fee (as stated in the Registration Form) will be charged as compensation. Upon payment of the TV Device non-return fee by you to us, the TV Device shall be regarded as belonging to you.
For the avoidance of doubt, notwithstanding anything to the contrary, we are not obliged to accept the TV Device should you seek to return the TV Device after the Extended Period.

Need to pay a certain fee to keep it. This plan just works like other Maxis Zerolution plan. Its more like a rental.

Maxis RM98 postpaid can add rm1 one time fee for Samsung A21s (RRP RM939)
Maxis Fibre 500mbps Rm219 + rm1 zerolution x24 months  can get 65inch Samsung TV (RRP RM3,999)

Total Cost = (RM98x24) + RM1 + (RM219x24) + (RM1 x24) = RM7,633
Total Devices u get from Maxis in RRP = RM939 + RM3,999 = RM4,938

Expenses for unlimited mobile data + home fibre 500mbps per month  = (RM7,633 - RM4,938) / 24 months = RM112.29 per month
If think like this u will feel better?? tongue.gif

Compare to u port out to unifi for 500mbps current price RM249 per month & cheapest telco with unlimited HIGH SPEED data quota & unlimited HOTSPOT plan is DIGI infinite RM150 per month = rm399 per month  biggrin.gif

pay extra rm 299 to get A31 is better, FHD OLED yo...

upgrading my 10 year Samsung 43" plasma that recently died to this 65"

already 128 user, plus RM219 upgrading from 100mbps Unifi look like a bargain to me

128 + 219 + 1 + SST = RM369. + 2 mesh WIFI

Less than my current commitment LOL
But TU7000 is entry level for 2020 model and 1 year warranty from Samsung.

Thats the only setback i can think
*
if u know,
128 + fiber = 300GB
98 + fiber also = 300GB
u won't say is same, right ?

planning to go for this plan also bcoz my house dont have tv - we barely use TV but tot if its free, why not....

so many years i using unifi not too bad la - have previously read bad experiences ppl with maxis fiber previously many years ago - and i came here today still got such issues..

wondering can any1 advise what should i do before really considering switch to maxis? like what tests i can do or precaution i can take so i dont get stuck in a sticky situation ?  cool2.gif

so far im using maxis 128 with 2 share line.. so is this 1 worth for me to go for?

better to go with dealer or maxis center?
*
if u are already 128, is very worth for you.
not for me, I need pay extra 30 for the service I do not needed.

go maxis center, sometime dealer will mislead, I kena pusing pusing until headache.

I just downgraded my 128 to 98 yesterday over the phone coz my earlier line contract just over. No any issue at all. Now I m under Unlimited 98 + fibre 500mbps + RM1 65" TV. I dont see any requirement of must take 128 to get 65" TV.
*
Not sure for your case, but new contract to take TV require me to upgrade to 128, I call help line also tell me same story now.
He say when sep do not have this requirement.
