Love the game so far, don't feel like a downgrade from Monster Hunter World, graphic still clean and nice, and the best part is the new game just feels nice to play. New mechanism, new environment, new companion. I really like the wirebug, the wolf and also the new riding mechanism.

Prior to yesterday I had no interest in MHRise and was content waiting for a next-gen MH game but after watching the recent trailers and demo videos, I'm considering buy the Nintendo Switch. Will probably wait till near release date before deciding, though. Oh yeah, apparently (rumours) Nintendo might release a new Switch console this year?

Best to wait but stock could be gone by then as well since MH Rise is coming out at the same time as you wait. New Switch could happen but you wouldn't know for sure till they announced it. Rumors about a new Switch has been going on for years now. Still didn't come out. Probably wait for one big Nintendo Direct and decide.

Thanks. I did some checking and the rumoured "Pro" version was already announced back in 2019. I was looking at the price yesterday was surprised that the price hasn't drop considering the console is almost 4 years old already. There's still 9 weeks to go before the game releases. Capcom will probably release more details about the game in the coming weeks. Maybe they'll help me make decision.

tried the demo and really impressed by it.
since i just started playing MH from world and after that play GU, this demo just feel really good.
the skills and moveset also feel closer to MHW.
this is absolutely going into my must buy list.

Tried the demo.
1. Smooth
2. Multiplayer, died many times coz newbies or trying weapon and straight jump in against rathian / mitsuzune. Suicide
3. That satisfying feeling when you found the right weapon for you and good teammates
4. Doggie riding & partner, excellent
5. Wyvern riding, why not
6. Wirebug, still haven't get used to it. But useful addition to complement playstyle
7. Pretty girl singing in menu
8. Inspired from MHW, quality of life improvements
9. For voice party play I guess you still need NSO app or discord, since switch has no built in party chat but then in MHW not many use mic also
10. No lag or dc during online multiplayer

Looks like a winner by Capcom

link88 which version will you be getting? i haven't really played the demo though ... seems quite a lot of things going on control wise

still hoping they'll put SOS flare later on.
i know that most OG hunters despise that system, but a casual like me really like it and i think that what made mhw popular to larger audience.

So there's no SOS flare feature in MHRise? Did players had to gather in the hub before the hunts in the previous Nintendo MH games?

there are no SOS flare at the moment but this demo is very limited (1 beginner, 1 intermediate and 2 tutorials mission) so no use now.
not sure about older MH games but in MHGU we just join in a hub of 4 players for multiplayer session just like what we have now in MHRise demo.

I tried the demo, and really wondering whether to pre order.

This is my first time playing any MH game in the franchise.

Died few times trying to kill the Shizune.

What I don't like is when I die, I have to restart from my camp again, which is shit.

I scared later i pre order I will regret it lol

buy and sell if u dont like it. a mh demo can hardly tell u the whole picture.

The MHRise Switch console and Pro controller looks quite nice.

Hi guys, as I saw pre-order is available now everywhere in lazada or shopee. First time switch player here, and is confused by the price through the region version(?) they are selling.

- Standard version (Asia region) RM278
May I know what's the different there?

So far they've only announced the special editions for Japan and EU I think.
