Prior to yesterday I had no interest in MHRise and was content waiting for a next-gen MH game but after watching the recent trailers and demo videos, I'm considering buy the Nintendo Switch. Will probably wait till near release date before deciding, though. Oh yeah, apparently (rumours) Nintendo might release a new Switch console this year?

Thanks. I did some checking and the rumoured "Pro" version was already announced back in 2019. I was looking at the price yesterday was surprised that the price hasn't drop considering the console is almost 4 years old already. There's still 9 weeks to go before the game releases. Capcom will probably release more details about the game in the coming weeks. Maybe they'll help me make decision.

So there's no SOS flare feature in MHRise? Did players had to gather in the hub before the hunts in the previous Nintendo MH games?

Thanks. I thought the SOS feature was great in World. Hopefully, it'll be included in Rise as well.

The MHRise Switch console and Pro controller looks quite nice.

So far they've only announced the special editions for Japan and EU I think.

Maybe they're still waiting for news from their suppliers. I haven't decided on getting a Switch, yet but please let me know if you do manage to get the Special Edition.

Thanks, but it's already sold out. Saw it the other day when it was rm1,999 as well. Thought it was quite pricey. If I'm not mistaken JP is price is JPY38400 which after conversion is below rm1,500.

No worries, I'm not that desperate to get it.

Yeah, I know. Tbh, I don't mind 10%, 15% maybe even 20% extra but 30% is a bit much. Just feels like retailers are jacking up the price because it's a popular franchise/game and also because it's a special edition console.

Was only interested in getting the Switch this year so I don't know much about pass Switch special edition prices.

But I think the Mario [Blue & Red] is also more expensive over here compared to the standard edition even though they're both $299 in the States.

Didn't buy a Switch but I read that the hub can only hold 4 players maxed. So it's definitely a plus that they've added the SOS system in Rise. But it also makes me wonder if Capcom will add raid/siege type hunts and increase the hub capacity in the future.

Wasn't expecting it to be available on other consoles but I'll finally get to play this next month on my PS4.

But there's no cross-play or save between different platforms, though. Unless you meant that you don't mind playing it again since it's free.
