Hi Guys!!! Finally, mine just arrived! biggrin.gif

From my initial test-run, the soundstage is noticeably SPACIOUS and VOLUMETRIC. It’s honestly next-level in performance of sound quality, build quality and noise cancellation compared to my Bose QC35 and Sony 1000XM3.

I would even dare say the price is value for money for everything it features.

Can’t wait to burn in these bad boys. brows.gif happy.gif

Apple today released new 3C39 firmware designed for the AirPods Max, marking the second firmware update the high-end over-ear headphones have received since their December launch.

The new 3C39 firmware replaces the 3C16 launch firmware that was available the day the ‌AirPods Max‌ launched.

Apple does not provide details on what's included in new firmware updates, so we don't know what bug fixes or improvements the new firmware might offer. There have been reports of battery life issues with the ‌AirPods Max‌, so it's possible that the firmware update addresses that problem.

There's no standard way to upgrade firmware on AirPods, AirPods Pro, or ‌AirPods Max‌, but connecting the ‌AirPods Max‌ to an iPhone or an iPad while connected to a power source may force the update.

Hope they improve the battery life somewhat on the AirPods Max. The advertised 20 hours battery life is quite hard to achieve from my experience.

Personally only managed to achieve at best, 3/4 of the advertised time. Coming from a 30 hours headphones (XM4), the battery life is pretty awful.

Is this very heavy?
Saw reviews that it's made from metal or something. How about the clamping on the ears? Stronger than the others?

It's heavier than other headphones made of plastic, but I wouldn't say that its very heavy.

In terms of clamping force, it's strong initially but after some time it would loosen up.

I've been using it since January and it's as comfortable as my previous headphone, the Beats Studio 3 wireless.

Just got a unit. The clamping force feels really strong for me.
Hopefully it will loose up more.

The ugreen cable won't work. Currently, only the Apple cable works.

Maybe take years to skin the leather. Just like my Sony headphone.

Seems like this thread is so quiet.

I shall share my newly purchased AirPods Max stand that charges ‘magnetically’ as well.

Hi ktard,

I own an Airpods Max since Feb 2021 and today it stopped working. Can't get it to pair or factory reset.

Bring it to Switch and ask whether they provide repair service and unfortunately they don't. Only a 1 to 1 exchange is available and the cost is equal to brand new Airpods Max + RM50.

So my question would be, any ktard here know 3rd party repair center? Been searching online but very less info to be found.
