Braces no doubt changes your face but it's for the better. You can even make your face more attractive by mewing.

I saw many dental articles stating that crooked/crowded teeth aren't due to genetic poor myofunctional habits like

thumb sucking
pacifier or bottle use
tongue thrusting
mouth breathing

so basically, ugly teeth may not be inherited
