buying ipod from overseas, need help

guys, my fren is in hong kong right now and i wanted to ask him to buy me an ipod there which of course sells about 20% cheaper than here...
so, may i ask, how bout the warranty? is it valid here? may i send my ipod for warranty here? |

guys, thanks for the replies.. my fren only comes back 3 weeks later so got time to think about it
