anyone try this to check 875 temp:
"PLEASE READ FIRST: Please note, all of the commands below are applied by using the buttons on the front panel of your receiver and NOT on your remote. In addition, the "secret" menu screens will only appear on the front display panel of your receiver, they will NOT show up on your TV. How do I see the Temperature readout on this receiver? 1) Turn on Receiver 2) HOLD down the "Display" button and press "Standby" button once. 3) Release the "Display" button. 4) Now press the "Tone" button once 5) The temperature in Celsius and Fahrenheit will be displayed. These temperatures are being displayed in real time so you can leave this info on display for as long as you want to monitor the receivers temp. " |

just want to ask if any 805/875 owner have any hdmi connection issue with a htpc?
my htpc is connected to 805 via dvi to hdmi converter and then out to pj. i can see the osd from the pj but not the video so the problem seems to be between the htpc and 805. any ideas? |

QUOTE(howie @ Feb 27 2009, 12:17 AM) Thanx for the advice. The ref master level(master volume knob),Should i set it to my listening level -25db -30db when calibrate using audyssey, then calibrate with SPL using that same level(-25 -30db)? there are several good calibrations tips in this thread, just search for it.Bought it from SVSound.com with the help from one of the LYN forumer for RM280. For me, adjust the sub volume level until audyssey calibrates the sub trim to be about -5dB. Then run audyssey correctly using the recommended 8 postions for the mic. After that, adjust the sound levels for each speaker using the onkyo test tones using your SPL meter to your preferred level e.g. +75dB - LCR, +72db - surrounds, +66db - sub. can read more here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=795421 |

if can, should just install aircon in room. placing a fan on top of your avr will generate a lot more dust inside.
