today i went to harvey norman@pavilion. the guy quote me RM3399(credit card) for sr705 with extended warranty 1+4(years), bcoz i'm noob about speaker connections, i ask that guy to demo(connect) to pioneer speaker(htz363dvd) cause i already have this HT set.
This guy call his friend(maybe expert with pioneer system) & confirmed the connection can be done. they use hdmi cable to connect dvd player, receiver & lcd. no problem with video but the problem is no output sound. alamak card dah swipe 4 payment.
After a few hours they found the hdmi output(from htdvd363) only carry video only. ohh sungguh malang nasibku. finally i've to cancel my payment dan pulang dgn hampa.

QUOTE(gaijin @ Jan 2 2008, 10:38 PM) Confused. Your HTZ363 is a HTIB set right? So how was the connection set up? The pioneer dvdplayer -> 705 receiver -> pioneer speakers? Thought for HTIB, speakers only work if output from the player itself (not from other receiver) Anyway, it's strange you plan to get 705 to match with HTIB. Should be with BD or HDDVD player. Yes, you're right about HTZ363(HTIB) and the connection(pioneer dvdplayer -> 705 receiver -> pioneer speakers). If u read my post, i already state that i'm noob about connection setup. i ask that guy more than 4 times regarding the setup. he said it should not be a problem with the connection. BD or HDDVD player is already in my plan(next target) but not now(bajet lari). maybe after CNY or wait until the price reduce little bit more. QUOTE(splee8868 @ Jan 7 2008, 08:18 AM) onkyo 705 + 5 year warranty =rm3300? @ onkyo 705 only=rm3300? Last week went to Harvey Norman@Pavilion was quoted RM3399 for the SR705 with 5 year warranty. If u're serious buyer i think the price can be lower little bit more. Try nego, mayb u can get lower than Ka3tr0 with same package.

QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 24 2008, 10:10 AM) hey~ all the onkyo AV receiver owner. wat's the speakers you guys match with onkyo? mind to share? or any good/value recommeded speakers? pair my 705 with my old denon (front/center/rear) + mordaunt short carnival 9. this 705 is better than my old receiver pioneer vsx509. of course laa ... use audyssey to setup my speaker. so far the sound so good(powerful & clear). don;t have a time to explore others setting. for now i'm satisfy with my 705.

QUOTE(yed @ Mar 31 2008, 12:34 AM) just to confirm..i cannot use my banana plug wireworld speaker cable with sr875...is there anyway for me to still use the existing speaker cable? i'm 705 owner. if your speaker connector is same as 705(maybe the different is color coded), you need to remove(cungkil) the small plastic plug. use sharp metal such pin baju(hehehe). this plastic plug can easily be removed by unscrewing the thumb screw and removing the plastic plug. if u doubt about this, u should call harvey norman salesperson(Raj or fairuz).
