Midrange is not a problem, but I think the point is the poor implementation of the variable refresh rate that is causing the perceived lag is the issue - or so it seems from most reviews. Yet to get mine so can't comment till I do

I do not mind to have IPS screen, just that this phone were purchased on an impulsive decision, haha...now started to regret and feel F2 pro is much better even though lack of stereo speaker and high refresh rate screen

after playing around the phone at my workplace.. i can say i satisfied with the color on lcd... now i dont even care about deep black like my k20 pro.. color just nice and now no more lagging after reset... only issue with truecaller when set as default messaging app...

Just received my X3 today. Rather fast considering I ordered on lazada flash sale. Sad didn't get cooler

Luckily the screen does not have any defect as of now.
The side fingerprint unlock rather fast, feel similar to Max Pro M1.
The display colour calibration felt like a little bit too warm, might be personal preference.
The stereo speaker sound great, but vibration can be felt on the upper part of the phone when holding it. Not sure if this is good or bad as this is my first phone with stereo speaker.
Overall, been enjoying using the phone until now except for the ads.

U mean they told customer that custom are in fault but it's actually they fault slow to arrange shipment? But the agent told me too that new shipment all go to BKI Or KK ABX then ship down Sarawak.

Heard alot of complains on this phone.

120hz screen doesnt feel like 120hz at all.

Camera sucks balls

Lcd screen quality pretty bad until you notice it. Very dull even compared to other lcds.

Lags even out of the box

I guess thats where they did all the cost cutting

Its like poco wanted to throw in all the top end specs but use the lowest and cheapest quality parts they can find. Yes the screen has a 120hz refresh rate but whats the point if they are using such a low quality screen. My as well just stick to 90hz max.

Saw many utube reviews ask not to buy this phone thats why i ask here .

my take on this phone after few days of  using it
screen
-big, bright, high refresh rate but don't expect flagship high refresh rate screen quality. 90hz amoled high refresh screen on my op7t much better then this especially when scrolling. but for less than 1k, the best high refresh screen u can get, better than realme 6.

stereo speaker
-just okay but again don't expect flagship level stereo speaker.. just nice and better than most midrange speaker. But the vibration effect from the speaker I never experience anything like that before from any other phone. really uncomfortable to hold when u max the volume , like a vibrator

miui12
-full of bloatware...full of ads... already get rid of it using fastboot tools

camera
-picture quality too soft and saturated... good enough if u view it on ur phone or for social media only. realme/oppo/vivo take better photo in this price range category.

battery
-good enough

conclusion

typical xiaomi phone. overhype, great/wow specs on paper but half baked on execution/real product. poor 120hz screen optimization, but still specs-wise is the best among midrange among 1k sub categories.

if u planning to buy this and ur previous phone also a midrange phone, u will be very happy with this phone

for semi-flagship, flagship phone user who planning to downgrade to this phone u will feel quite disappointed

most of the negative comment coming from people who had use flagship devices, high refresh rate screen flagship devices.

To be honest when I received the device I'm little bit disappointing.

120hz screen, 240hz touch sampling on the specs sheet but no better than my 90hz screen, 120hz touch sampling rate on my op7t when scrolling. the problem I believe is the optimization. fixable with future software updates

It does feel good, smooth as for now, it feel smooth like I'm using the 60hz google pixel 1,2,3, phone
but definitely not 120hz Samsung or rog phone level

overall highly recommended midrange phone. best buy phone under 1k. make sure you debloat it as soon as u get the phone. personally this is my pick for midrange phone of the year.

for better photography phone wait for realme 7 series or buy used set pixel 3a
for straight use out of the box, non tech savvy guys, oldies, prefer oled screen, better after sales service and 3 years guaranteed major software update go for Samsung a51.

I used to root my phone the moment it's out of the box.

Now I'm just too lazy and just live with whatever the OS comes with.

Just replaced my stock screen protector with Nillkin's, my god it is so much smoother and no more fingerprint.
