源码跟编译 = original code and compiled code? why are there two?

i deal with chinese before, they usually will be kind enough if you ask them what do they meant by their term. And sadly, TW may have different term with CN. SG is irrelevent because if their dev is using chinese, mostly its CN imported. As for HK, i never dealt before
