So i port out from RedOne to Maxis on 2nd-Jul-2020...

Jul Redone payment done

then on Aug i received their statement asking for payment and when i called their center, was told that i still need to pay for 1 more month after my port-out month..

Is this normal/standard for RedOne?

Probably can report MCMC even if it is normal practice. It should be prorated.

at my time, they will charge full month regardless when u MNP on that month..

for your case, they cannot charge August 2020 because u port out on July 2020..

ur latest bill is ur last billing cycle
maybe jun1 to jun 30

sure got last remaining bill after port out.

last bill =
last cycle to the day ur redone signal off.

hmm, not sure if i get you

so let me put it clearer

i port out on 2-Jul-2020, and Jul's mth's bill was sent to me on Aug'20 to make payment; which i did.

And then 2 days ago (5th Sep'20) i received another bill asking me to pay for Aug'20 usage...

the Aug'20 usage is what i have issue with considering i port out on early Jul..so why still charge me for Aug'20 usage?

especially when i already start using Maxis by 2nd-Jul evening...

not sure what you say is something different from my scenario above?

Added : and no, i pay for full jul'20 month's usage - no pro-rated stuffs

That shouldn't be the case. You port out early jul and you paid the July bill by August. Now go and report to MCMC.

Most likely the service was not cut on that date due carelessness. The billing dept, will generate bill automatically through system.

my suggestion, always switch to prepaid and unsubscribe anything before doing MNP.
postpaid too much variable for bad/unreasonable billing

and the same number jul bill frm redone

same number 2 telco overlapping charges.

u can simply proof redone are scamming.

Redone does not allow you switch from postpaid to prepaid.
