I think its due to bad ventilation, you got proper airflow inside the toilet?

It is due to bad ventilation, and also usage of hot water that will create steam. Installing an exhaust fan that spins for around 10 minutes after bath should be able to overcome this issue

High humidity + bad ventilation in toilet. Easiest way is by making a small window at the toilet. Other way is exhaust fan.

Appreciate! In fact, it's a little fan + exhaust fan + Window opened! 😅 But it still created MOLD! That's what I felt so mad!😡

A more powerful ventilation fan is needed and in order for the exhaust fan to work well you need to keep the window closed.

What is above the plaster board?

Is there a pipe with bad seal that is very occasionally leaking a few drops of water there?

Besides the other suggested ideas about ventilation, I would also suggest you to paint your ceiling/walls with anti-mold paint.

U guys that install ventilation fan do u use pipe to move the hot air out? Or without exhaust all hot air just blow up to the empty space above plaster ceiling?

Someone said without using exhaust hot air trap above plaster ceiling will make it mold up there.

This normal thing one to happen especially if u got using water heater. Even u got exhaust fan and small windows that keep open, the wap from hot water 1st place it go is up ur ceiling, so ur ceiling is 1st to absorb the wap, so it will slowly cause mold to appear. Normal, everything need maintenance. Unless ur ceiling material is waterproof hard plywood wif good paint n no need plaster, then myb ok.

Yes usually people said use anti-mold paint can solve but not really solving it, after few months comes again. My fren lastime ever try paint his bathroom ceiling using good weathershield paint, so far so good he said, but no more update after tat. U try look for dulux Weathershield Mould.

Buy borax (available in Shopee)
Dissolve 60 grams of borax in 1 liter hot water
Let the mixture cool and put it into a spray bottle
Spray mold-affected area with the mixture
Wait 10min for the borax to work
Wipe down the sprayed area with a damp cloth, rinsing frequently
Spray the affected area again and let it dry.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for feedback! No I felt not alone 🤣
Ok. I found a solution (not so) lately. Some extra light work as Borax idea!

Mix Clorex with Water like 1:50. Then spray it over those MOLDED area. Leave on for 2-3mins, I'm sure you will be surprised as me! If that was stubborn mold, then spray 2 more round (perhaps make a stronger mix of Clorex)! Now, my toilet is super bright and clean!

** Not necessary to wipe off the solution, it'll dissolve
** Watch out your eyes and breathing, might irritated
** Smell of Clorex! Need ventilation!

But, it really works!

Few months back, I've bought 11 rack systems for 2 different storeroom locations. The untreated MDF boards then starts to mold. The molds are like evolving into miniature forests. I had to remove ALL items, wipe them down, paint with elastomeric paint on all sides, board by board. 11 racks*4 boards = 44pcs. Now they're all fine.. Pheww..
