Correct. This is what the CS told me when i applied at the branch for TRIO. That is why she kept mentioning please make sure my email is correct.

Lol. Planning to get VS only at the 1st place, but CS “encourage” to get the duo as well, as claimed many go there also applied 3 cards.

Give it a try la, if don like then just terminate later.

Applied my TRIO last monday at the branch. Till date nothing appeared at my eccris nor the affin bank system, i think might be due to this incident.

Waiting for mine too. Last monday applied at the branch. No any progression so far. But i am not really really in rush la.

I applied mine at branch more than 2 weeks ago. No news yet🤣🤷‍♂️

Sometimes i am free i did place a call to affin bank 0320286300. And nope, no record found in system. 🤷‍♂️

Same. More than 3 weeks time. Last Fri i called to affin CS line, as usual, IVR saying no record found. Then i continued to talk to “real” customer service person, out of surprise, the guy said they didnt receive any CC application under my IC and name. Either the branch didnt submit to HQ, or in the middle of submitting, my application went no where.

As promised, will investigate on that and reach me in 3-5 working days.

Small place, not worth it for thumb print service, mind to share what does it means?

Longest CC application waiting time that I have ever encountered🤣

Probably due to the covid-19 case at HQ.


12th Oct - submitted my application at branch with all the documents
5th Nov - appeared in ECCRIS as pending
13th Nov (today) - application approved


Applied TRIO (Duo and VS) on 12th Oct, so I do not know which card they approved for me. But look at the CL, i supposed approved all three. Waiting for collection then.

Placed a call to 03-82302222 lo. Because it is too long already. I am like make a call once per day, earlier reply is no record found, then recently get the reply still looking at your application. Today’s reply is your application is successful. No sms received yet.

Oh no no no. Just the computer replied. Very fast one, place the call, then direct press 2 1 2 1, then key in IC number. Within 1 min i suppose to know is it approved or no. If not because of the covid case, i would think that Affin is the most inefficient bank that i have dealt with. Very slow.

Ya of course i appreciated as they approved mine la. But still it is slow. My history with MBB and PBB, plus minus 1 week time. But I dont blame la. Now is special and critical period.

If that is the case, then the way they handled it different from what previously my MBB and PBB done. What is the approved CL is the CL that I get.

Anyway, it is one of the highest CL i get also. Affin quite generous. Of course if that is the CL that i got. Waiting for cards to prove then.

Hahaha! That is really slow la. But i do understand the covid case at Affin HQ, so i am ok with it.

Anyway, ok is ok, slow is slow. Different story la.

I purposely went to branch to submit everything thinking that it should be faster compare to submit it online and wait someone to call me. Mana tahu... 🤦‍♂️

Asking for those approved for Affin CC. Is it a new norm now for Affin (or any other bank) that they no longer sending sms/calling/email or whatever channel they can reach out their customer to inform the successful of card application/for card collection ah? 🤷‍♂️

Meaning all these we have to call center ourselves, check eccris ourselves, call branch to ask about card collection status. Like that ah?

The staff at branch like know the kungfu of “taiji”. She kept mentioning “HQ should inform you bla bla bla”. But at the time I just wish to apply for VS, she is the one keep pushing “take three la take three la, all my customers here direct apply 3 cards.” “Now covid time, you sure online shopping much much, this duo save you money” 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Like this baru sounds right mah! Of course i am not saying i am VIP for them la, in deed i am small kacang only. But the way Affin handle it, feekl like they dont give a shxx to you lo, it is like “you got my bank cc or not is not my business also”...😔😫
