Hi,
Do you have any ideas how to hide cables for lighting and air con if i dont want to do plaster ceiling? smile.gif Thanks

lighting sure can.. surface light or track light all can hide cables..

air cond, you can conceal or use casing to hide it.. unless you have to pull piping over long distance..

Hi Lefty,

Here's a challenge to to do some ID works for a small condo 678sq ft.
Since the room is very small, need your advice for the Master Room design to fit a big wardrobe, working / dressing desk and Queen Size bed with some storage shelf too.

Thanks.

switch the place of wardrobe and dressing table in your plan is the easiest way.. do a L-shape built in wardrobe..

second option, you could do a customade wardrobe together with bed.. above your bed may combine with a lot of cabinet.. if you need more space, custom made 1 pull up bed too..

another approach, switch the place of mattress.. back to back with sofa.. then opposite wall full length of wardrobe + dressing table.. problem solve.

the challenge is not on ID side.. but might be your pocket size.. tongue.gif

Hi Lefty,

I actually posted in another ID thread but didn't get a reply. So was hoping you could help me out as well. I'll reproduce the post here.

I'm trying to figure out how to best place a walk-in wardrobe in my master bedroom.

I'm leaning towards putting it on the marked area (12 x 6, or more like 12 x 6.5), but my questions / concerns would be:

1) Should I take up the whole space? Is it possible to have 2 rows of wardrobe side by side, with walkway in the middle? (e.g 2' wardrobe, 2.5' walkway, 2' wardrobe).

But this means I have to go thru the walk-in wardrobe to get to my bathroom. Would the hot water vapor get into the wardrobe and cause issues? Secondly, the side window will also be 'in' the wardrobe. What do you think?

2) If instead I opt to not to take up the whole space, but rather 12' X 4.5' (meaning 1 row of wardrobe, and another for walkway within wardrobe itself), therefore leaving another 2' for the 'walkway' to the master bath - does that make sense? This would mean I would not have to cover up the side window. Would the walk-in wardrobe be too narrow?

3) For either option above, where do you think the sliding door should be to get into the wardrobe?

4) Lastly, without any consideration to my earlier suggestions, can you let me know what would your original ideas be for walk-in wardrobe given the current master bedroom space and layout? If you can include the bed, study and TV that would be awesome! Feel free to go wild!

not prof opinion.. but in my sense, not suitable to have 2 rows wardrobe over that area that you mentioned.. you could do L shape and it will give you about 18ft of wardrobe which should big enough for you.. the depth of wardrobe should around 2ft.. if you make it 2 rows, then 4fts of space consume.. left only 2ft for walkways is less ideal..

unless you decided to switch the toilet door.. but seldom people want to change direction of toilet door and facing your bed.. you may extend additional area such as partition to extend wardrobe area at outside of toilet
