Hey guys,

What is the cheapest sound system can I get? The word cheapest doesn't mean chapalang, as in the cheapest and the brand is widely used. I don't know much about ICE, currently still using stock speakers in my Satria, and there's no front speakers. I roughly know abit about ICE but not much. What do I need? I want loud bang bang boom boom, hard bass, hard sound.

What do I need?

- Front speakers?
- Woofer?

These two above can make my car go boom boom ah? Hmm, is amp necessary in this case? Price?

I'm looking at the cheapest range. I can't tell out a budget, because I don't know the current price of the products, if I tell out a budget it is just pointless.

with good HU, u can have them satisfying ur need by setting it up right
especially HU with built-in amp

otherwise, get ready to spend a few thousands or more, to get what you really want to have

i spent more RM1500, just to get the 'chicken' brand ICE setup (althought the brand is not the 'chicken' brand, but the quality is like the one). the setup is two 2-channel amps, one subwoofer, and one pre-amp, other is for wiring+workmanship cost.
and all this i did in brothers shop (yeah, lol at me guys, i'm an idiot tongue.gif)

Hmm, RM1K? Ok let say I have a budget RM1K.

I need front speakers, do they come with the tweeters as well when buying the speakers? A woofer, again do I really need an amp to have boom boom loud bass sound? What's 2 dual speakers or front components? What do they mean? unsure.gif

Actually I don't plan to further upgrade the ICE, all I want is some hard bass that can make my heart pumping. laugh.gif

Hmm, what is a pre-amp? unsure.gif

If I add front speakers and a subwoofer behind, can I feel da boom boom sound? sad.gif

u need to have an amp to power ur woofer, else it will not work
pre-amp is like an equalizer, u can adjust the sound channel

anyway, best is to upgrade better HU, and get a component speaker (consist of two mid-bass + two tweeter + crossover)
better HU can satisfy u, sometimes even better without woofer with a good sound setup

from ur budget, either choose:
-better HU
-amp + woofer + preamp
-amp + speaker component + preamp
-speaker component + better HU
this is not including workmanship+wiring

my suggestion is, slowly upgrade it, firstly, get better HU, then speaker component, amp, woofer, preamp

why HU? becoz hard bass setup can kill sound quality, so i dont want u to spend too much, just to get a lousy sound quality

have u visited this?

just tell the shop owner
u wan a char kei setup
and u can only afford 1k

he will probably recommend u adams digital amps and woofers
or rockfox all these types of stuff

seriously, u dun need to change all these HUs
just some average comps, average amps, and also woofers will do
but seriously 1k will get u nowhere
installation alone will cost u at least 1/3 of ur budget
