Shopping for 60in TV and was pretty keen on the 4TC60AL1X.. but shop have no stock and proposed 4TC60CK1X as a new model. Searching in Google have limited info other than sharp just launched it 1-2 months back.


Sharp page comparison seems to have different spec and some compromised and better spec. Showroom test of both show PQ is very close...

Anyone have them?

i do not have al1x or ck1x but have the 2 before it - ue630x (5 years), ua6800x (2.5 years)

just looking at the specs for ck1x and al1x, main differences:

C has 3x2.0a hdmi; A has 2x2.0 + 2x2.0a (total 4).
C does not have audio elix prism enhancement like A, but both are capable of dolby digital only.
C can do HLG while A can do HDR10 only.
C has better bluetooth.
C is lighter than A
C does not have rs23s like A.
C is android9, A is android8.

both are smart, AndroidTV with google playstore, youtube 4k, browser, etc.
like ua6800x, C and A should have the unifitv app in playstore, works fine.

my exp with sharp TVs is good, no trouble so far.

but keep in mind after 5 years, there will be no more android updates.
i.e., best to buy a tv with newest android version.

My sharp 6800x kaput with horizontal lines across the screen in 2.8 yrs
But sharp gave me 2+3 yrs extended warranty so they will replace it with CK1X
How's ur experience with it so far?
Sharp lcd screen quality is bad

4TC60CK1X - ‘Normal’ color, ‘normal’ brightness. Android
4TC60AL1X -wider’ color, higher brightness. Android

If you are getting a lower price and want to settle for lower spec, it is ok to go for CK1X

CK1X doesn't come with internal digital tv booster so u have to buy aftermarket
Picture quality same as 6800x
6800x came with user-friendly manual buttons at back panel whereas CK1X quite useless
Unsure abt CK1X lcd panel reliability whereas 6800x simply rubbish

Can watch YouTube in HDR10 or HLG ?
This is missleading in spec since 6800X.....

Only HDR with 3rd party apps
Very few youtube videos 4k so I just don't see the point

Have a thousands YouTube 4K HDR10 and HLG video's....

But for SHARP TV must install SmartTubeNext app to watch in HDR.
Netflix ok.....only HDR10.
I don't know about newer models.

Actually what the issues without updates? Generally they are much usable still with youtube, netflix, and whatever the usual apps...

Or this more on folks running some more complicated setup with their android tv.

Having said the price of such tv size is affordable at less than 3k... if can last 5+ years ..... ok la

quite right - can pretty much keep going with little problem even with updates halted.

so far, there is only 1 thing i experienced with my 6 yr old - youtube update needs to be stopped, use older version.

Hi guys, joining this thread as my 4 yrs old UE630X tv is replaced with CK1X through warranty claim.

After few days using it, noticed few things that intrigue me
1) surprisingly not many review on this latest tv by Sharp,mostly being reviewed by Indonesian counterpart. Having said that, one of the unboxing/ review videos shows that the top left bezel is engraved with “Japan Panel”, but my unit didnt engraved with “Japan Panel”

2) While you are watching any stream movies, i just unable to press “Tools” button to change the TV sound or picture setting while streaming. You will need to press home button which eventually you are out of the stream service and into setting menu for you to sellect picture or sound setting. Imagine change picture setting in menu,just can see words instead of still/picture in the stream service 🤣

3) To my surprise, you will be able to press tools while watching media connected through HDMI or USB,which bring up small menu to change picture/sound setting while watching your media movies 🤔

4) Still unsure how to scan digital malaysia TV 🥶

5) not sure this replacement TV will get new warranty period or just continue from current extended warranty

YouTube can play in HDR10 (HLG) ?
If can,any icon appear?

Im not sure how to get those icon to appear, even on my newly purchase Sony Oled A80J. I just know it play 2160pHDR

yes, u noticed right.

in ue630x, for every hdmi input u select movie or gaming or dynamic, then set the individual PQ/audio parameters.

in this CK (and ua6800x), diff... u first set the PQ/audio for every choice of movie, gaming, dynamic, etc.

then for each hdmi input, u select movie or gaming, or dynamic - once selected, that earlier set of parameters will apply.

the diff is there is lesser setting control for each hdmi input in ck/ua models.


enjoy your new tv - my exp... i think u will miss the superior ue630x PQ for non-HDR videos.

just a pity there is no "ue630x HDR" model.

For me kinda weird logic by Sharp as you can only change PQ/audio only at setting menu and not while watching it. But yeah gonna enjoy it coz save my money from buying a new TV ahahha

I was at a few shop checking around and one of the salesman said the CK uses the ue630x panel.

Colors on the CK is okay but the brightness is so so only.

These range of sharps... ue, ua, ck, bk, etc. arent the best or high end.

Alto my eyes tell me ue is the best among them but is non hdr as it is an old range.

I am still using a 6 yr old ue630x, still loving the PQ and the ATV apps.

They r affordable, even cheap by most stds.

Good for normal household use, not for demanding enthusiasts willing to pay double the price.

I also own Sharp and my advice is to look at Philips,TCL and Hisense.
They are much better , for almost same price.

Wow , if that is the case then it is using a 6 year old panel tech on today's TV. If i recalled correctly words from the salesman the ue630 panel on CK1X only apply for the 65" . Its called Deep Chroma something. Looks pretty good though but lack brightness.



Is that why Sharp TV sales been struggling the past years. But now have Japan panel to attract buyers. Hope they can improve on processing in 2021 ,then its good to go.

For your kind info, this "Japan panel" fails on me,after 1 year of using.
On the end,they replace whole TV.

the MyVi of today is not the MyVi from 2005 la!

i m not up to date on the latest TVs as my current 3, all sharps been very reliable.

when need to replace, will check out what's out there.


but one thing i will say - i will stick to AndroidTV or GoogleTV - i think more good things are coming to these TVs.

Not bright enough? Brightness & contrast have to do with software, not hardware
