"We are also closing in on the finalisation of that deal. It's a joint business planning and joint partnership and I think both parties will win from that cooperation."

As for the technical preparation for the 3G rollout, DiGi was currently running a test network with Nokia and Siemens but the mobile operator was also seeking a tender for the full rollout, Dennelind said.

DiGi was targeting full rollout by the end of the second quarter, after which it would be "full speed ahead" partly to catch up with Celcom and Maxis, he said.

As for the entry of more players in the 3G market, Dennelind said this was expected to pressure price downwards, which would benefit both consumers and operators.

Not sure you guy realize or not, but the new DIGI plan, DG20, is access fee and not commitment fee. So you are paying RM20 + usage.

And more downgrade, the new subscriber who plan to use auto-billing to get RM10 rebate, well, it has been reduce to RM5. Existing user still enjoy RM10 rebate though.

I do not see DIGI is making effort to provide more affordable plan for user. Instead, i think it is more of confusing technique or downgrade of service and benefit to me...

So between DG20 and Optimum plan, which one will you choose?

Access fee - Same (RM20)
Call rate - DG20 flat rate RM0.20, Optimum RM0.30
SMS rate DG20 flat rate 15cents, Optimum 5 cents -> 016 and 15cents -> other network
MMS rate - DG20 flat rate 25cents, Optimum 25cents -> 016 and 50cents -> other network.
Charging block - DG20 30 seconds, Optimum 12 seconds.

I am still thinking should I change the plan for my mom..

MNP is useful especially for those who don't elder people who don't like to change number.
But it will be bad for us to determine which telco is he/she using. Wondering is there any way to determine the telco he/she using. hmm.gif

overall call its more worth i suppose since its Rm0.13 call/Rm0.10sms to any local telco/operator biggrin.gif I guess DiGi did a pretty good calculation from the competitors tongue.gif

Ok. I got few questions to ask regarding Digi prepaid. If I'm asking in the wrong thread please ignore my question.

Anyways, I am gonna buy Digi prepaid since I'm attracted to the itemised billing feature. From the website it seems like in order to have my name and address on the billing, I have to have loyalty benefits or something. But I couldn't find this anywhere in the website. Can someone tell me what actually this is?

I'm also thinking of subscribing to Digi Postpaid since to be able to enjoy EDGE at 66/month I have to be postpaid user. What is the cheapest plan for postpaid? I have 2 option.

1) Use the cheapest plan only to enjoy EDGE and not using the line at all.
2) Subscribe to plan that have the best call n sms rate and use DiGi as my main number (currently using Hotlink)

What do you guys think? Help me out here.
*
1) Rm66 for pure data unlimited package
2) DG50 package biggrin.gif (this is quite depend on your monthly usage too)
