Hey guys, went through this tread and found out many people bought V spec and lately, many interested on V Sensing / RS spec.

I am planning to get S spec, not many people buy this spec?
As mentioned by some forumers, can save some money for Tinted & Carpet.

For me, I prefer less high tech gadget and do not require many features such as
8" Touchscreen Infotainment System
Remote Start
Passive Cruise Control
Paddle Shift
Reverse Camera
Single-zone Automatic Climate Control
.......

and 4 airbags only
at about the same price, its competitor has a better spec.

You means Vios has 7 air bags this is true.
In term of Safety, Vios J is better then City S.....

You do what you feel best for you.

I drive an 11 years old S spec city. Most i see is E spec on the road. Does it bother me? No.
*
Yes, agreed.
Most important we comfortable, in term of wallet biggrin.gif

not just wallet la, everything need to consider  laugh.gif
got money who don't want to buy best spec, best car, or even just buy a few and interchange.

just need to balance out how much you can comfortably splurge out with the best cost/benefits according to your thinking.
only you know best your own situation, we can just advise  laugh.gif

Yes. As i on & off drive my father Honda CRV, 1.5 Turbo, year 2019.
A lot of gadgets, good stuff, but seldom use when on the road........
Just focus on driving......

For example, infotainment touch screen, need to press quite precise, if not wrong response, also if finger wet or oily, then no response.
Sometimes button still the best.

Cruise Control, on highway not so useful, either too slow or need self accelerate the pedal, unless Adaptive Cruise control then different story.
Same to paddle shift...

Unless professional then useful, if normal driver like me, no require.

Hey we are in same boat cant find any S owner review

I also prefer less toys and feel rm13k jump from S to V not really worth.
Honda wheels is ugly, paddle shift useless for puny engine, prefer tactile big button than touchscreen in car
probably the only thing really miss in the V is the led headlight and leather

Also considering Myvi 1.5X but waiting list is long and big factor is no boot.
Looking at CRV but new model will release next year

Btw  anyone can share how much discount can get and waiting period?
*
Totally same as what I thoughts. In addition, less toys = less problems = less hassle

Im waiting March / April only plan to buy...
That time normally no more 2021 cars already.....

1. Reverse Camera is a plus and after u have it u will really appreciate it
2. Android auto / Apple carplay is sooooo soooo much more convenient !!!!
3. Remote Start maybe just let u cool ur car before ur gf go in
*
True also, technology now change alot

QUOTE(blackamikaze @ Jan 19 2022, 02:32 PM)
yes the old infotainment is shitty, but the new one in gn2 is very very good. very very smooth. Pair it with android auto or carplay, is like a godsend. The speed and touchscreen is really good compare to the one in hrv or last civic. And the interface is not shitty anymore.

Okok. If you said so, will check these out.

Below is my timeline for Honda City booking

Car Survey: Dec 2021 - Feb 2022 (Vios and City, both are good, the reason i decide for city because center amrest till dahboard slightly elevate, still for me Vios is all rounder if ok with not so nice interior)
Place Booking: 9 February 2022 (This time still deciding actually because plan to get new car after Raya, after factoring SST rebate i just place a booking)
Loan Approve: 19 February 2022Sign LuA: 24 February 2022
Car Collection: 4 March (reason register on march because expect to start repayment on April, SA secure a car before LuA, already see the car on 27th Feb 2022 at showroom with my number plate)
Car Color : Passion Red

probably after 1k first service i will install some shopee cosmetic, fog lamp cover & RS Spoiler
*
For me, City is more comfortable although Vios is much higher resell value.

3.5k includes 2k from HM?  hmm.gif  Or 5.5k total?  shocking.gif
*
I am thinking to purchase S spec as well, maybe April only book.
V Sensing car price is much higher, so SA can give more discount.

S spec is lowest price, so other than 2k from HM, maybe 1k or 1.5k discount from SA.

well it depends on user  biggrin.gif  I plan to buy for parents, they dont use touchscreen/paddle shift/cruse control, so the rm7.4k save can used for tint+coat+soundproof and other stuff.  nod.gif
*
Ya, basic, cheapest.
I will go for that too, S Spec ... although I'm still young biggrin.gif

Even RS also 1 biji only, totally no S spec available.  console.gif

SA say dont have ETA when will have stock bangwall.gif
*
As mentioned by SA, not everyone loan get approve.
So for those who rejected, we can get their car.
Maybe you need to consider E spec, then maybe can get car soon...
