Was originally considering the S variant, and custom change the seats to leather. But the entertainment on the S variant is really hideous and (for me) is a deal breaker. So, is considering to pay the extra 7.5k even though I don't use the cruise control or paddle shift. Now comes the real dilemma, for an extra 5K, I can get all the leather interior look (not just seats, but steering wheel and upholstery as well), 4 additional speakers, plus LED headlamp, extra air bags and smart assist lane camera VS the extra 3K just to custom change to leather seat. The extra 5k from V to E seems to be a really good deal.

So, from S variant, I'm suddenly considering V variant which cost 13k more cry.gif

Sorry I meant the lanewatch for the CRV.

Yeah I think many others would be fine with a premium top up like you suggested as well, they really should make car buying more customisable, like the beige interior, leather steering wheel, 15 or 16 inch wheel, should all be options for people to add if they want, cause I'm sure everyone has their own preferences on certain things.

Like for me E is best for me cause I want 15 inch and no lanewatch cause cost purposes, but would like leather wheel and beige interior instead.
*
Pretty sure the leather seats are customizable though for S & E, that's what my SA told me. But it probably doesn't include the leather steering wheel though.

loan settled, might get the car this coming weekend....

Good for you. I'm still waiting X50 launch. Really need to compare and test drive before commiting. Although I must say, the City interior and handling is a lot better than I expected (my expectation is pretty low based on the exterior and interior photos)

From the looks of it, the rims on V is super ugly without the dual-tone color...  doh.gif

See if you prefer leather interior or dual tone rim. For me it's a no brainer.

Btw, nobody here waiting for RS like me???  Not even one??
*
Not sure yet, depending on the price. I already booked an X50 but if the RS is launched before I get my car (which can be anytime from 3 to 6 months), I'll go fo a test drive and evaluate. Never been or driven a hybrid before, so not sure what to expect from it. It also highly dependant on the price, if OTR is higher than 100k then I'll definitely won't consider it.

No incentive from government.. i'd expect it to exceed 100k with so many additional features.
*
Yeah, that's my guess as well. Hence I feel like the probability of me getting it is quite low. Unless Honda have some kind of introductory price discount.

By the way, sorry if off topic. But for those who waiting for the RS, why didn't you guys consider the Ioniq. I was looking at the reviews and to be honest, it looks quite tempting to me.

The first year or so, you can see one or two running around every other day... Nowadays if you're lucky enough to ever spot an Ioniq on the road, you better take note of the number plate and buy toto...
*
Why? A lot of problem. By the way, they are offering substantial rebate right now, hence why I'm asking. Price wise right now, it's a direct competitor of City RS

no way direct competitor la...Honda Malaysia dont give a shit on Ioniq also .... does Ioniq equipped with lanewatch , AEB etc ? no right ...
*
Yes it does. Lane watch, smart cruise control, AEB, blind spot monitor. Now till end of the year, a brand new will cost you 106k. They're no longer selling the low spec variant so this is the only spec you can get for now.

And before you say it's an old model, it's a C Segment car, with more spacious boot space and interior.

and the early fuel consumption feedback is as bad as it brother the x70 which i'm not a fans of  puke.gif

without tax honda city isn't gonna cost you 40k , it will still be 65k and up yo  brows.gif

Since Campro era Proton is already renowned for their bad FC.Used to drive a Preve and I envy those ppl whose full tank can last them 400km. My full tank only can last ke 3++ km although the tank is 50litre capacity.

oh... but then , the sales figures are pretty bad i think ... even thru its cheaper
*
It used to be expensive. When Gov announce sst exemption during CMO, Sime Darby said Ioniq won't have any exemption cause all the cars are manufactured in 2020. But then they secretly (I said secretly cause I din think they really push this in their marketing) slash the price by 13k. So technically it doesn't have sst exemption, but 13k rebate instead (which is even better)

the x50 is no different in FC then ,
owner reporting around 8~10km/l now
so the full tank can go around 380km if able to use up 38L of fuel
*
Yeah. It sounds similar with my Preve. My Preve usually average around 9.5-10 litre per 100km on average city drive. I usually refill around 35litre mark.

I really keen on X50 fc. since proton qoute 6.4/100Km: 15.625km/L.

but the fuel consumption is a bit not logical for that power.

if 8 to 10km/L is true for most case, then fuel guzzler for b segment.lol.
*
Definitely not accurate. If they claim 6.4l/100, can safely assume it'll at least be 8l/100km on average drive. But I heard its closer to 10l/100km.

well the "volvo" engine tend to sip little fuel on test but on real life they drink alot of fuel
true for most european car, except vw which fuel efficient and power at the same time

back to the topic, some even posted 15L/100km for x50
that's the current KL traffic which relief a lot compare to the peak of what KL traffic like  brows.gif  brows.gif
and due to the nature of the 3 cylinder, geely/proton have to purposely drive up the idle rpm to make it less vibration  sweat.gif

A lot of ppl in their FB groups said that the FC will be better after a few thousand KMs. They claimed similar issue with the X70. Wondering how true it is though.

People love to compare X50 Flagship vs City V but they always forget their price difference. Differing by RM18,000, City V price/value is still very competitive.

X50 Flagship 1.5T engine 0-100kmph is 9.9s (tested) while City V 1.5NA engine 0-100kmph is 10.4s (tested). It is pretty impressive for a NA engine. Those who said new GN2 engine is underpowered can go ____ themselves (many comments on FB)  doh.gif

I now only realize Honda has a lot of haters when I read through the comments in Facebook. Some even said New Almera more powerful than City

I think Honda City gets less spotlight is because Honda didn't do much advertisement, compared to Nissan and Proton. All the videos about X50 and Almera has been all over in Youtube but City test drive + full review is none so far. Why Honda doesn't give those Youtubers the car to test out first? Really bad marketing there
*
The don't need to. City will sell well regardless of their marketing, and the marketing won't be able to push it much higher because of the competition (mainly X50). Nissan needs it since Almera's and their reputation had went down the drain while Proton is going all out with the X50, hoping it will become the next Myvi sales volume wise.

im driving preve now (c segment car). thinking to switch to this new honda city (B segment).

how does the width of new city rear sit? can it fit 3 adults comfortably for long journey?
*
I drove a Preve before this as well. I only went for Test Drive (decided to get another car) but I personally think City is in the higher end of B segment car, so space wise I don't think there's a lot of difference between both. It is impossible to get another C segment for the same price of Preve anymore.

thanks. what car u change from c to b?
ya. i choose preve 8 years ago due to cheapest C segment. cannot get any C segment at less than 80K anymore now. so sad.....
ya preve is much wider compare to current city and previous city. but i still want to hear others opinion. hehehe. my rear passenger is my family and we are all fat.  biggrin.gif
thanks. looks like i will not choose this new city as my new car as my rear passenger will complaint later.

out of topic. please recommend me value for money c segment. (budget less than 100K. less than 90 k is much better) my nearly 9 years preve is still good but the punch cvt whine is too much that i feel of lettting this car go. thinking to get this new city but used to c segment already. haahhaha
*
I sold my Preve a few months back due to Gearbox issue. Thinking about City, then I booked X50. Due to the long waiting time, I ended up switching to Hyundai Ioniq. So will get my car within these few days. And my budget is 100k as well, so I guess these are also your option, although only HYUNDAI ioniq is considered C-Segment.
The thing, do you think you're open to driving hybrid? If yes, then its probably the best value of C segment car.
