Got a very close shave today... Going over a highway slip road left turn under wet condition when out of a sudden 100m in front was an accident, all cars slowing down. I followed suit but brake tak makan... jammed brakes harder, ABS kicked in lack-lustrously, my car just glided like ice skating...

New City is seriously shit on 2 disc + 2 drums... Either this or the Toyol tires are shit on wet conditions... ESS did not trigger so I wasn't going above 80kph...

I really missed my 4-disc Jazz... sad.gif
*
Iinm, toyol tires are not good for wet roads. I almost wanted to go for toyol for my recent tyre chg but when i read the reviews, all agreed that wet conditions is not this brand’s expertise. I went with Mich EnergyXM2+ which i on purpose drove over puddles of water and it dissipates water perfectly.

When I go for the 3rd service, the sc asked me to perform wheel balancing, rotation those for 75, but my car only clocked 4000km mileage even though already 1 year, need to do all those already? And is it better to do it there or outside?
*

Not in the list, macam won't affect warranty. If no affect warranty, do outside lol.

Usually the maintenance will include other charges like aircond cleaning and engine additive etc? Cuz the list stated that 3rd maintenance is 300++ but today I paid 500++
*
Post your receipt here and maybe we can help you decipher which are extra.

Here's it. Is there something which is optional? 3rd service
*
2
9 ( My current car is more than 10 years old, never once I had used an engine cleaner to clean the engine. Sure, I may have lost single digit HPs but it doesn't matter to me and it's just supposed to clear off the carbon residue in your engine)
10 ( You want treatment? Put RON97. Cleaner also)
11 ( I could be wrong on this but I don't recall this is needed )
12

If those mentioned are all accurately optional, you spent an extra RM223.77 to HM.

Thanks, for engine cleaner, if I occasionally pump RON97 also can achieve that effect or need to do it regularly?

Also, if I want to avoid those extra charges, how do I know which are extra on my future services? If not I think will end up spending a few thousands extra to HM.
*
For the RON97, nah. it wont clean it off but it will just create lesser carbon residue only compared to RON95 but it's just very very minor difference only. Pump whichever RON you like/can afford.

Try to tally up the price to as close as the price stated by HM maintenance list. Let's say for the next service, HM stated it's RM400, then make sure your final amount do not deviate more than + or - RM50 or so.
If you really want to know which are needed and which are not, you have to join some FB Honda *insert car model name* groups and slowly learn/gather data from the people that posts similar questions as you. Members will reply and tell which are needed and which are not. Slowly, you'll know which are needed and which are "scams" by SC.

Honestly, I'm in one of the groups and I saw that for a service of only RM300+-, the SC managed to get the owner to spend up till RM800++ by adding tons of unnecessary stuffs into the bill.

Thinking of getting the RS next year after bonus but want to test drive first and weigh down pros & cons.
Anyone know if showrooms allow test drive of it as my colleague who bought the V said they only have V available for test driving when he bought his.
*
Since RS's launch day I know that Honda Glenmarie has one RS there. Not sure if they have rotated it or it's still there but if you are nearby, give it a go.

Tip, go to those very very large showroom or those always the media frequent, or better, their HQ showroom.

Sedan thread also moving so slow, open hatchback don’t think will be moving as well. Unless you are up for the challenge and become hatchback thread’s TS.

guys.. im considering to replace my 9 yo Myvi with a city.. looking at a basic S version only.. is it worth it? or might as well go for E spec? appreciate some advice.. thanks.
*
For an extra of RM7,473.55 you get (that makes a big impact):
1) Remote engine start
2) Paddle Shift (idk if this is big impact to you or not)
3) Cruise Control
4) 8" infotaintment unit instead of old school (probably like your Myvi). Plus, has Apple CarPlay + Android Auto
5) 2 USB ports (one for dashcam, the other to charge your phone)
6) Reverse Camera (multi angle)

All these for an extra of RM7.4k? Sounds good to me especially on point 3 and point 4. Mind you that point 3 you cannot retro fit while. So if Cruise Control is your top priority or in the next few years your priority, why not?

Question, has anyone tried to install front parking sensors on City GN2? This snapshot is from Honda India which they have it as an optional accessory. Not sure why they are not doing it here.

Guys wta City RS vs x50 flagship which car is faster???
*
One is 253Nm carrying 1,246kg.
One is 255Nm carrying 1,370kg.

2Nm difference. 253Nm spins 16” wheel while 255Nm needs to spin a 18” wheel.

Im putting my bet City RS would be faster.

hi all, want to check with the owners on the below:

- does city V sensing/ RS has wireless apple carplay?
- if don't travel long distance that much, is RS worth it?

thanks!
*
1) no
2) the amount you save now = you have to spend same/approx amount to replace the battery.

Hi, is it recommend to install dashcam from Honda? The price is about RM 700++ but if buy from outside, SA say might be problem when there is claim and say due to outside dashcam need special wiring.

Plan to get outside one and use the USB port below the radio.

Need advise
*
Just buy from outside. There's no such problem with "need special wiring". The only time got special wiring is when you wanna do 24/7 parking monitoring. Otherwise, it's just a simple plug and play. and maybe some skills on hiding of wires.

What is the current city promo now? any merdeka rebate? Planning to get 1'm still observing which SA/branch can offer good rate and ready stock. Basic spec is good for me for daily driving
*
City promo can just refer to website. That promo is what every SA has to give.

Depending on which SA u go for, some can treat u nice by gifting you hundreds of "free gifts", some can give u cash rebate, some can give u "ready stock" but with no discounts.

For me, my SA gave me nice rebates only. Whatever gifts all, kosong but after sales not bad. Still communicating with me if there's any issue so I'm all good.

Mine's from penang island if you are interested. I drove from penang and back to KV after collecting it.

In KV, hard to get good SA that can give nice rebate. I asked few all give me the same answer as per the website.
*
Yeap. I got a friend bought from KV, was shocked that I got nice rebates from my SA from Penang. Also, "another my SA" in KV only able to give me RM300 personal rebate. I guess #PenangOneBetter is true. Hahahaha

Hello City GN2 owners..... is there anyway to permanentlly disable that warning screen when you start the car? I find it incredibly irritating that I always have to tap "Ok" before it will start connecting my Android Auto
*
I think it's standard across all cars.
