QUOTE(berrycoo~ @ Aug 17 2020, 08:09 PM)
I just collected my new car recently and am thinking of what treatment do we need to do for new car. I heard of coating, waxing, polishing, PPF etc but want to know which one is really needed or suitable for new car. My concern is because my car is pearl orchid white and white gets those watermark and black stains very easily. I do plan to wash my car regularly like once a week or fortnight but just wondering is there any treatment that can help protect these from eating into the paint or prolong the time it takes for these effects from appearing?

I was just done my first Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax for my new car after 1 month of usage. Actually I'm waiting for my Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax. Unfortunately, the courier is too slow, until today I still not get it. All my clay bar, quik detailer, ceramic wax, wheel cleaner still not yet received. I only got one Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax, so have no choice lah. Wax it first because I am worrying about new car get swirls.

Most of above say no need to wax for a new car, actually what I know is new car should wax it but not immediately. Probably after 2~3 washes. Since new car already apply industry wax. This industry wax only help to avoid swirls during shipping process. Not much help for last longer since you know industry wax is a cheap quality wax. So I waxed my new car after a month of usage.

Just use the coating type wax. Such like Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax. It does not have polish element. Most of the above keep talk so much story about "polish". The point is, new car no swirls how to polish? man! c'mon.

TS just want to ask for car detailing, paint care only. Who did tell you to polish it? TS just want to know about the waxing only. Of course, new car must only wash the car ownself. I also never send to car wash center to wash my new car.
