QUOTE(sakuraboo @ Aug 16 2020, 09:11 PM) Ikea Bought both non and rechargable Some toys kids very rough will inevitably damage the rechargable battery inside so just put regular ones instead How they damage the battery inside the toy? Other than setting the toy on fire or drag thru the mud

Getting Started

If want to prolong the battery life, get a smart charger that can charge each battery individually (normal charger need to pair the battery to charge), monitor battery level and cut off charging when the battery full. I use this 4 slot one: https://shopee.com.my/LiitoKala-Lii-402-186...2830.2155526821 since I have many rechargables, but there's 2 slot and 1 slot also.

Can I use this charger for the recommended Eneloop battery? How long does a charger typically last? Assuming it's taken cared off Also, how long does it take to fully charge a battery? Just sometime need to rub off the dust from the metal of no use for long time. So far still okay. My 1000mAh take about 5 hours to full. It can detect what type of battery it charges and adjust the voltage and current accordingly.

QUOTE(Cmyong88 @ Aug 16 2020, 12:52 PM) Hi, am considering getting a reliable rechargeable battery for my children's toys. Double A battery size. Anyone here with smthe same experience can recommend a good brand? My only aim is to be more cost effective than buying them normal battery. I buy energizer battery almost exclusively. Edit : I need AA size battery. Typo ikea ladda. rm 39.90 IIRC https://gizmodo.com/are-ikeas-7-rechargeabl...-ene-1823204061

Or just regular charger if ya kinda like: "meh, still can use just need to recharge more regularly"

If money saving is the only objective non-rechargeable batteries are more cost-effective. Worse for the environment tho.

Ts, if you are up to it ... mod it to use a rechargeable 18650. You will have to put in a vld depend on the voltage of the toy.
