Hi, am considering getting a reliable rechargeable battery for my children's toys. Triple A battery size. Anyone here with smthe same experience can recommend a good brand? My only aim is to be more cost effective than buying them normal battery. I buy energizer battery almost exclusively.

Energizer rechargeable is good. Dont settle for less due to quality and for your kids.

Regular 1.2v
Never occur to me about Ikea batteries... But it's not rechargeable right?

Eneloop. White ones la. Ayam bought a pair back in 2014. Last month starts problem(can't stay at above 1.2v as long as it used too). Good la. Ayam abused the hell of them pairs.

Ikea rechargable are eneloop rechargeable rebranded(internet told me).

Don't expect batteries can be rechargeable like new for 10 years or wut ever years it was advertised enuf la.

I bought the GP NiMH 1300mAh 1.2V AA rechargeable batteries at Mydin hypermarket. IIRC, cost about RM8 each. So far so good for low-powered appliances, ie already recharged >40 times = still can last during use.

For power-hungry remote-controlled toys, you will need to buy the more expensive 1800mAh or 2100mAh ones.

Avoid NiCd rechargeable batteries because they have memory-effect = must charge only after discharged/depleted to <10% battery power level, otherwise the batteries won't last long during use after being recharged.

Ikea

Bought both non and rechargable

Some toys kids very rough will inevitably damage the rechargable battery inside so just put regular ones instead
