Did you set the TP link to AP mode? Are you using same ssid as the Asus router on the TP link. I am using a similar set up with an Asus router and TPlink as AP connected by lan and have no issue using same SSID.

Are you able to connect the Asus and TPlink by lan? Repeater mode is useless cause you introduce lag. AP mode is like having another WiFi antenna on your Asus router remotely nearer to the WiFi blackout area.

Cannot, the Asus Router is in the living room connected to the Modem Via LAN
TPLink Router is in my room to act as a repeater so i get better signals

Hope i get this right
AP mode: It should be LAN connected and so other device can connect it wirelessly
Repeater: It is Wirelessly connected to another router so other device can connect it wirelessly

Did i get this right?

Yes right
Maybe you can connect the 2 router using Internet over powerline?

Also if you want to use the TPlink as repeater you should place it somewhere halfway between your room and Asus router. Don't place it in your room.
