do more thinking mate, u'll get the solution... Don't just rely on ur camera functions to do the 'magic', or ask around too much.. Nothing wrong with those 2, but the most important thing is ur brain... USE IT... nod.gif

thanks for the comment...

i got try ISO 800... but seems like useless as i am using internal flash...
the girls overexpose like hell even i put flash -2....
i also try to raise up the shutter speed till max 1/250 aperture f/8 but i get the result same as what i posted up.........
the background underexpose or the girls overexpose....  cry.gif
anyone can tell me how to solve this? so that next event i can try out on that...

You use spot metering or matrix ? Must use spot matering.
Even with internal flash also have TTL function right ? It should work.
Unless your focus point is not on you subject but at darker background.
So it intepret that need more flash. That's why overexpose on the model.

most of the time i will try different settings and different shooting modes and select the best one to shoot an event..
that day so hard to scout lights at some place... especially without wide aperture...
no choice had to use flash......

MAPA fair.. i use manual mode with center weight metering...
if i use Av mode.. the shutter speed can go as slow as 1/5.... sure handshake.......
Tv mode.. i didn`t use that much.......

i more concern on the subject exposure than the background as i know my flash won`t reach the background.....

Apart from that, if you think the subject is too bright with popup flash, you can change your FEC ma.. maybe stop down 1 stop

That is why i ask you to meter the background. Use manual mode and set the aparture and shutter speed.
The lock focus on subject (spot metering), and let your camera judge how much flash required.
If subject is very close to you, your flash must -1 or -2 stop.

if want to improve have to learn mah.
Don't really like to hear people say that this is what they can get with their "lausy" equipment.
Well, if they know the technique, P&S camera with manual mode can get as good as these if not better leh.

You know what's the KEYWORD for many newbie digital photographers today? It's "LAZY" : lazy to learn, lazy to anticipate and lazy to experiment. There are so many things we need to do during our film time : You have to shoot, anticipate the results, spend money buying film and spend money developing, spend money printing pics for girls and yourself. Nowadays, newbies want their butt scratched, back rubbed and well spoonfed. When they are good enough, they want their shoes polished also ... there are actually forums for people just like that, hahaha!!

Over here we learn and learn and learn, if you can't catch up, give up. That's all they can do nowadays. Pity them spent thousands of hard-earned Ringgit, or worst off, parents' Ringgit.
