Hi

I would like to gather more opinions about plaster ceiling (with light boxes etc). Of course some designs can really enhance the outlook of the unit, but what about the prosĀ  and cons? People mentioned about dusts etc (is it that bad?). People who had plaster ceilings at their home - what's your opinion?

Thanks!

Ooouch, means extra cleaning work. I think fans can last more than a year but if the L-boxes are not cleaned from time to time will it be obvious? and issit ok to use wipe cloth to clean it?

Cloth doesnt work. Use vacuum cleaner.

This is an old design, modern design dont use this design anymore because of the dust it will accumulate inside it.

Pro:
Look nice and good heat blocker

Cons:
Prone to water leakage

regarding the good feel/nice outlook factor, we usually don't switch on all the fancy lights every day or most of the the time right? will it look "not so nice" if only theĀ  main downlights are switched on instead?

Those are just ordinary hidden fluorescent fittings. It gives the soft light effect without seeing the fittings.

You can install two different set ... warm white and ordinary white. On any setting to suit your mood....but I prefer warm white more as it gives the house a 'warm' and cosy feel. White if I need to do reading or there are guests.

If you have hidden and downlights, as you said, it wont look cool if both are on same time.....'conflict'

A simple design for my dining area to cover the three beams plus ....no cicak, no dust...

The background show the soft lighting effect as compared to the dining lighting..
