I was told there’s a huge discrepancy between the private and government healthcare where most of these doctors are in the government side. Beside that, i have been told too that some doctors are working for both government and private sector 😅
Out of these numbers, not many are specialists.
I have personally experienced both public hospital and private hospital settings. My family, loved ones and myself have been in constant follow up with the doctors.
My big question is where can we find better doctors- private or government hospital?

Kesian the "dan lain2"

Edit
Apart from the lain2 issue i think the main issue is facilities and money

You put specialist in a rural hospital without facilities, they can't do anything. That's why there is a skill discrepancy in those areas manned by only nurses etc

If there’s no specialist in the rural area, i guess these folks would have to travel far to seek specialist care. I suppose there’s no private hospital in these areas too, right?

Yeah unfortunately

If the place have the facility at least the sick patient don't have to travel but the doctor can visit on certain occasions

I understand if private healthcare did not invest into rural areas but why wouldn’t the government improve the facilities of their hospitals in these areas?

I don’t quite get it. You mean vote for a better government? A government with integrity?

I'm also at a loss to your question.  sad.gif
But if one were to go to private, if in the event things don't turn out well, the private hospital will eventually transfer the patient to the government hospital.

So if it were me and I need to pay for hospitalisation, I would still choose to go to government.

Let me try to locate some fellow ktards who are doctors and tag them in here for feedbacks.

I know where you’re coming from. Just last year, a friend from church had his daughter transferred to Selayang hospital after a week in a private hospital. Apparently she had liver failure and the private hospital couldn’t do much more. Selayang is where you can find the country best liver specialists.
At times I would love to choose government hospital but the queue and waiting time are not really my cup of tea.
