Well, the base price at RM 7999, but if you go into configure and buy, that's Nano texture glass option - which to add RM 2000...

Cheapest is RM7,999 lol I know those wedding studio, photo studio, they will use 27 inch as better way to present the photos to the customer. For home use, like you said - office, multimedia and video editing ( I do edit video), I not really keen to 27 - too big and too costly. Thus I'm looking the totally new 21 (or 24 that replacing 21 inch).

QUOTE(bem69 @ Aug 17 2020, 09:10 AM) Anyone got the 27 inch iMac yet? How is it? I got one on the same day they announced it. Received it after 3 days. Buy 16 GB additional RAM from Lazada. My previous iMac was from 2008. I've been waiting for it to be available with SSD. So far very good : 1. Speaker sounds about as good as MacBook Pro 16, more separation and bass. 2. Boot-up faster 3. 10th Gen Intel i5 is as expected 4. Radeon Pro 5300 series renders Final Cut faster as it has some new RDNA I'm just an end-user so my view is only what I can feel, see and hear. It is worth the Education price I paid for, I guess. Attached thumbnail(s)

QUOTE(limchee @ Aug 6 2020, 01:14 PM) anyone can recommend where can i purchase and upgrade my own ram instead of upgrading from Apple? What year is your iMac? If you wish to get "cheaper" and higher memory sticks example, up to128GB, then your option is amazon US. There's are few 3rd party brands that were tested and proven to run stable. You can't simply slot in any DDR4 rams for iMac.

I am waiting for my Crucial RAM to be delivered via Lazada. My late 2012 iMac crapped out during MCO and I have been working on my laptop ever since then. Have been itching for a bigger screen and took the plunge as soon as the new models were announced. Coming from a 21.5" screen, the 27" is amazing. The 5K display is wonderful and makes a huge difference. No more Fusion drive and the SSD speed is an impressive upgrade for me. The speakers sound more premium and hefty. I am happy with my purchase.
