Hey gang, need your advise, on a component set, my budget is rm1.4k and below, i've already got a nakamichi underseat sub, and looking to change my stock speakers and add in a tweeter, im driving an iriz 2019 facelift, do advise. So far i've got my eyes set on these 2, Do recommend which is better. I also prefer SQ, i listen to mostly classic rock and the oldies.

Try and call peter at Cv audio. He can do a demo for u to try out but do try to put a dsp first before changing anything else. A dsp nowadays can bring out a much better sound stage even before changing speakers.

focal speakers are good but also power hunger.
if match with a good powerful amp it will give u clarity n detail sound.
if u plan to drive from headunit , u might be disapointed.
a 80watts speaker should be drive with a 80watts amp.

Had tested focal before but tweeter kinda harsh at high volume.. for that budget, you can try morel also.. even though its power hungry but still can play via HU due to higher sensitivity..

Or you can demo german maestro sets, power about 50 to 60watts range..

For morel you can contact FB page https://www.facebook.com/mnkh27

For german maestro can contact Howie @ EA Autoworks https://www.facebook.com/eahowie

Agree with the Focal comments. If you listen to oldies, Focal might not be suitable for you. They are known to be generally bright sounding and easily cause fatigue when listening for hours. Unless you go with the Focal Flax range, which is said to be more warm/neutral.

I have used Focals before (not flax, just fiberglass cone), the aluminium tweeter is really bright and gave me headache even if i tune down the higher frequencies in EQ. But if u dont have sensitive ears like me, the sound is otherwise great. Great detail, great midbass and treble, really good for pop and r&b.

Now changed to morels because i listen to oldies also.

Depend on your prefer music.. If more towards intruments & slow song like Jazz, Country Song, focal a good choice & to turn down tweeter harsh & bright make sure drive by warm amp like sinfoni, audio system, steg, mosconi, audison & etc.. If you more towards fast song like POP, R&B & etc better choice was Morel, DLS, RS Audio, Scanspeak, Steg, Vifa, Seas, Dynaudio, Seas Lotus

The best way to buy is demo 1st, let your ears feel the sound..
