Just to confirm that I'm not able to pay merchants with TnG physical card balance even though I have TnG e-wallet and linked my physical card in the app as well?
*
Not sure if I got your question right are you asking if paying merchants via TnG card will deduct the money in your TnG eWallet? If that's the question then no, that's not how it works.

Only certain highway tolls that are part of the PayDirect initiative will deduct the money in your TnG eWallet when you scan the gantry using your TnG card.

Other merchants that you can pay via card will charge the card directly without touching the eWallet.

Sorry for not being clear.

I was trying to ask if I can pay merchants with my TnG physical card balance which linked in the app. I guess the answer is no.
*
Oh, you meant scanning the merchant's TnG eWallet QR & deduct the money from the card? Yea, if that's the case then the answer is no.

This is a good discovery. Thanks.

I'll try out in some parking that accept TNG card (linked with TNG e-Wallet) and still have PayDirect rebate available. Haha
*
I think this requires some input via trial & error. I know for a fact that Penang's Gurney Plaza parking charge directly to the card instead of eWallet.

Gurney Plaza parking now no longer charge the 10%.
*
Yea but what he was referring to are actually car parks that uses PayDirect where the card transactions actually goes to the TnG eWallet.

Did anyone verify their account by taking photo of ic?
*
Yes. That's pretty much the same KYC requirement for all eWallets these days.

I wonder if the 180K quota would have been fulfilled before we can get to the 2nd month (3rd round cashback). sweat.gif

Limited to 2 cashbacks per Touch ‘n Go eWallet per calender month and a maximum of 6 cashbacks throughout the period.
3rd month until 8 sep, how normal usage ppl can pump 2 times RM50
*
You just need 90K people nationwide to pump RM50 twice in the first month to fill up the quota. sweat.gif

How this feature differs from Auto Reload/Top-up feature?
*
Basically it works just like FavePay where you can directly charge your TnG payment to your card. No more hassle of checking your account to see if you have sufficient balance prior to making payment via TnG.

I'm not sure if this will totally replace auto-reload as we've yet to understand if the quick payment works for all transactions including PayDirect. If it doesn't, then auto-reload is still required to ensure that you have a specific minimum amount for toll usage.

Not all Androids have this feature at the moment so yea, most probably released in batches.

If I verified “Quick Payment”, wallet amount will be deducted first then card right

Yea, it should charge your card with the remaining amount required to complete the payment.

Then we no longer need to top up wallet, pay like FavePay. Hopefully this works for PayDirect & RFID as well.
*
That's the thing. We have no idea if this only works for "Scan" & "Pay" only or does it include "PayDirect" & "RFID". sweat.gif

Quick Payment failed to work as my wallet amount is insufficient. So top up manually.

Quick payment is meant to work when you have insufficient funds, no? If it failed, then what's the point of quick payment? rclxub.gif

a lot of logic to be built and may create issues in reconciliation, especially delayed charges coming from paydirect (for example)

i'd rather it leave the wallet balance as is, and autoreloadd a new full-amount instead biggrin.gif
*
Hmm... FavePay is built on the same logic & had no issue deducting just what is required to complete the remaining payment amount. hmm.gif

nope, only used once via TnG specifically for this promo.
all these while i only use cc and pump at Petronas.
only pumped at Shell with this TnG promo and previous Boost promo.
*
You might want to at least filter out some of the other details considering the fact that there are TnG cybertroopers lurking in this thread.

What are 34.10 & 15.90? Additional CB?
*
He spent RM34.10 on fuel & the remaining RM15.90 on the miniature car to make it RM50 which is the minimum amount required to be entitled for the RM5 cashback.
