Gon Freaks SJKC won't be easy for your son... but it will be a damn good training ground to start. SJKC will instil discipline and teach your son the value of hardwork (or smart to work around the system).

There will be a lot of homework and after school curriculum activities (on weekdays and Saturdays). Other than homework, I believe your kid will enjoy the after school activities (but be prepared to budget for those equipment laaa)

If you can afford please hire private tutor or send to tuition school to strengthen his language skills to master other subjects like Math.
I have 2 malay colleagues who sent their children to SRJK too both also hired private tutor to help them. Their kids schedules really packed with other extra classes too. Some might say fuyyooooo damn kiasu parents but believe me if you want the best for your kids,this is the way.
