Son can speak? Or you or wife can speak?
My friend doter rejected, she and whole family can't speak/read, teacher said its little late at least must send to kindergarden with mandarin, and teacher advise to go fast track mandarin class, teacher said sked later will have problem, because who will help her at home where there is nobody can speak/read when she need something to refer.

But if die die insist want can, they will monitor the kid, if cannot go school will advise to go normal SK school.

wife can abit la..i totally clueless.

Chinese is extremely difficult to learn, especially reading and writing.

If your son manages to learn it, it is great stepping stone to learn Japanese too because he is already learn the most difficult part in Japanese language, which is kanji.

who tell you SRJKC must be end with UEC and who the hell tell u only UEC student can be good in Chinese ?
*
UEC a lot of home work also what. If his son cannot survive SRJKC how to survive UEC ?

I never said UEC student can be only good in Chinese.

WHat is the point of study in Sekolah Kebangsaan ? If you can afford UEC, go for it lah.

You must go through STPM (if you are nons) then must score super high CPGA only then can get the course you want at local uni. If your CPGA not good enough, you end up 2nd choice or 3rd choice or worse, gomen choose the course for you at local uni.

If you can afford it, mind as well go private lah.

Not sure it is sarcasm, without giving any context why it’s better than SJKC...

strawberry parents now don’t like their kids to drown themselves from pile of homework, and the schools seem to listen to them

i think your kid will be fine as compared to our time studying in chinese schools.

plussssss chinese now menuju ke arah dunia your kid will make you rich soon. high ROI

unless, one of the parents can speak, read and write proper mandarin, the child will have problem catching up with all the homeworks.

My opinion
1) SK or SJK, will still require effort to speak english / bm / mandarin well. One of my MALAY employee is SK SMK student, but she cant even spell in Malay😂😂 cant speak english at all

2) My SJK SPM english sounds AhBeng, lots of grammar mistake. But it doesn't affect my career growth at all.

3) TBH... Lots of top management people speak Cantonese / mandarin. Except GLC / Government department
