How Soon After Miscarriage Can We Try Again? my wife and I went for IVF due to my wife's adenomyosis and endometriosis. Through IVF thankfully we managed to collect 5 healthy eggs. Beginning of this year, doctor transfer one egg to her. Manage to get pregnant but unfortunately it didn't stick well to her womb and at the end miscarriage. She is almost 40. Doctor told us to come back after 3 months and I wonder if there is any difference if we come back after 3 months vs later i.e 6 months. As you all know there are still covid 19 pandemic issue out there. I google a bit and some say try again after 3 months has high success rate. I am not sure the science behind it though.

I'm not sure about ivf but my wife on 12 week baby had no heart beat. Had to do dhc procedure. Doctor asked to try again after 4 to 6 mo.

Some doctor say can try earlier..some say need to womb to heal. So we decide to wait for 6 mo

From our experience, better to wait at least 1 year for the womb or body to heal. If not healed properly, there is a possibility to get ectopic pregnancy.

Our experience for our first children - 1st-time pregnancy - miscarriage. Tried in around 6 months, got ectopic pregnancy. Then we decided to take at least 1-year break for the body and womb to heal. Now, we have 3 kids and 1 more to come; ~3 years between each.

Consult your doctor or gynae. Usually most say after 6 months can try again
Your wife is 40, may not have luxury of time just consult and try

we tried IVF 3 times b4 getting twins with the 3rd time..

between 1st and 2nd we waited 4 months
between 2nd and 3rd we waited 1 year becoz we had to produce new embryos...

our doctor say we try again after we have rested well and is mentally/physically fit...

Plus ur wife period is back to normal again

I'm really sorry about what happened to you. My opinion is that it's worth waiting a little longer. Actually, it would be perfect to go to another doctor and see what he has to say about it. It would never be wrong to get another opinion on this case. And while you're waiting, there are a lot of vitamins that can help your wife get a little better. Maybe the doctor can advise you on something. Good luck to you!

with IVF, you can put in the numbers you want.
my colleague put in 2 got twins, and another one more daring, put in 4 and got 4 healthy babies!  laugh.gif

Yes but it depends also on womb condition. If got condition, the more you put in, the higher the chance to get miscarriage and at the end wasted the healthy eggs
