bt he's very very naughty...

yesterday i buy a piece of chocalate cake,

n put on d bed 4got2 keep in refrigerator,

he eat half of d cake,whole my room floor is chocalate

then need2 mop d floor n bath for him

harr...chocolate cake wor...will harm toro de ma??
dogs take so much chocolate won get stomach pain or other pain de??

Then Toro become Choco Toro already ..
eat half of the cake ah , Seem like toro celebrate his birthday itself and have a good meal as a buffet

Goodness.... why you all sound so happy when Toro ate chocolate cake? Do you know the cocoa powder and cooking chocolate is one of the most dangerous kinds of chocolate for dogs? Just 1 chocolate chip made my aunt's MS go to hospital for 2 days from chocolate poisoning.

Vet never gave anything? Normally after ingesting chocolate, should let the dog eat some charcoal tablets to extract and absorb the poison out so won't harm the body.

i jz call another vet,he told me next time bcareful,

1 time,2 times nvm,bt dun feed them wf choco cake,

coz will not effect immediately,no good for long term

Maybe the chocolate is not too strong.... but the chocolate chip that the MS take.... it took like an hour to see reaction I think but I can't remember the details.... all I remember is heavy breathing... vomit then drool alot and kept shaking like seizure... then later weak and cannot sit up. The vet fee was like RM400 for only 2 days....

i posted these last week i think..now reposting it again..

White chocolate: 200 ounces per pound of body weight. It takes 250 pounds of white chocolate to cause signs of poisoning in a 20-pound dog, 125 pounds for a 10-pound dog.

Milk chocolate: 1 ounce per pound of body weight. Approximately one pound of milk chocolate is poisonous to a 20-pound dog; one-half pound for a 10-pound dog. The average chocolate bar contains 2 to 3 ounces of milk chocolate. It would take 2-3 candy bars to poison a 10 pound dog. Semi-sweet chocolate has a similar toxic level.

Sweet cocoa: 0.3 ounces per pound of body weight. One-third of a pound of sweet cocoa is toxic to a 20-pound dog; 1/6 pound for a 10-pound dog.

Baking chocolate: 0.1 ounce per pound body weight. Two one-ounce squares of bakers' chocolate is toxic to a 20-pound dog; one ounce for a 10-pound dog.

i guess chocolate cake is catagorized under baking chocolate, which is da deadliest chocolate for dogs..lucky nth happen to Toro..

hmm...mikey jus established his sense of smell better edi so now everything also he wanna smell...hahaha...
