As most forummers know, there is a very widely recommended chair called the Ikea MARKUS. I have done a fair bit of reading and research and ultimately decide to buy it, so please refrain from suggesting any other make and models. I just wanted hear some feedback to help decide if I should get the leather version or the fabric version from MARKUS owners.

Some info if it helps:
- I will usually be on the chair for the entire day (12 hours) on Saturdays and Sundays.
- No air-cond as my set up is in the living room, only one small standing fan (the old panasonic kind) pointing towards me.
- Will eat food regularly at this seat, have spilt stuff on previous chair. (this would point to leather but I'm not opposed to cleaning the chair regularly if fabric is easy to clean)

No aircond 24/7 dont pick leather.

the leather wears down under skin and hair oils. The seat is going strong, but the arms and headrest shed the plastic leather everywhere. Up until that point, it was far easier to clean than the cloth version

Leather one will start koyak after few years. Fabric more prone to dirt. Structure wise if your weight between 60-70kg no problem one. Mine was more than ten years already.

If no air-con, i suggest get fabric. Else you have sweaty butt later..

But if fabric, iinm the handle is some rubber grip, not nice to rest your hand there..

But if makan and might spill stuff, leather is better. Very easy to clean up. The armrest also leather wrapped, so its ok to rest your hand there..

Leather quite tahan i think, mine almost 4 years still no koyak2 or peel off yet. But yeah, its fake leather anyway.

If it were up to me, i would take fabric seat + leather armrest combo.. leather seat quite keras i wish it was a bit softer.. but good also la, means it wont sag after years of use.. but im not heavy anyway, 60kg only
