Are your calcium and protein intake enough? You need to figure out your vitamin C&D intake too. And is your posture correct when you do the full swing? Your rib 'pain' could be due to the DOMS on obliques as well.

I am addicted to animal protein. Lots of it for at least one meal everyday. Also enough CAL, C & D sufficient.
My swing was pretty good up until the pain.. due to the pain my follow-through is bad now.  sweat.gif

Does it hurt only when you do certain movements or it hurts you all the time? If it's the former, see whether the pain goes away after 1-2 days as it could be DOMS since obliques are usually not specifically trained, if it's the latter, consult a doctor just to be sure because referred pain is a possibility.

edit: If the pain is sharp/your obliques are stiff(can't rotate your shoulder), consult a doctor too because your obliques could be strained from the swing movement.
