So accompanied my friend to test both x50 and city. Hel already booked the city. As much as the x50 360 camera is fugly, the one on city (reverse n lane monitoring cam) is worse. Succeeded on memprotonkan my friend.

Can't believe coming out from proton car then went into honda car feel like a downgrade.

My girlfriend is driving the new City. Funny thing is the side camera is only on the left mirror.

But yes the reverse and side camera is quite pixelated. The Proton X50 does a better job with their cameras surprisingly.

EDIT: But honestly on the new City, Apple CarPlay is really effortless and smooth. Pretty sad that the X50 doesn’t have a better infotainment system for the price paid. Hoping that there’s an update in the future to support.

Don't think so geely will have integration with carplay/androidauto. In PH they even have petition so geely let people install 3rd party app, bo layan.

Im choosing btwn standard and executive. All the feature that i need already found in standard and i dont think leather seat is a must to me. Shall i go for standard? Any showroom got display standard version?
*
Executive. 2 extra airbag for 5k, plus other additional is a better option.

It's kinda weird that bg channel like pandulaju, autobuzz, wapcar, paultan, nazz, etc still hasn't make any quick review/test drive on the x50.

Reading some comments on fb, got few peoples said that their booking on 16th September but the SA said will only receive the car after 4 to 6 months.

Pay booking fee on 15th sept. Early morning 16th got official booking receipt dy. Loan approved 2 weeks before price reveal and SA still say probably I'll get the car next year. Lol. Ikut jela.

Huh.. i didnt know loan can be approved without pricing.. it is like giving you a blank cheque to purchase the car.

They have tentative pricing. Based from rumors price. 103800 for flagship. Publicbank have it. Not sure about other bank.

submit as X70 Standard first, then when price of x50 revealed, just change model, adjust loan amount (if needed)
*
Mine approved for x50. Even before the price reveal. Quite shocking but think alot ppl same situation as me.

Anyone know how much is the x50 Standard version without the sst discount???
*
Current price with SST exemption is 79xxx, so my guest with SST it will be around 83k. From discussion with my SA, the flagship will add around 5k. He calculated based from the tax exemption on x70.

im curious since if now booking, next year only can get the car, how can we proceed with all the loan and paperworks to ensure getting car next year but with current price without SST?
*
Nope. You pay price according to your car registration date. If got car 1st Jan 2021, register same day, still need to pay SST. Doesn't matter you settled all loan etc in 2020.

Let see 2021 budget. Hopefully gov extend the tax exemption.

That would be me, haha. In the end, I really ended up cancelling my X50 and get a Hyundai Ioniq instead. Mine is different case cause I sold off my old car and I don't wanna stuck with a few months paying for rental car 😂😂
*
Omg i thought only me considering ioniq. Atm just let my SA do their job. Dowan push so hard.

No point i booked a day before official booking open, loan approved 2 weeks before official price reveal, end up SA still ask wait few months.
If can't get by this year, I'll cancel everything. Wait a bit next year and see what offering from other brand and hows the x50 1st batch performing. Then decide again.
