X50 Flagship, 2 years, 80k mileage

I just changed my car tyres, and this happens after I went pump petrol
*
warranty already over i suggest you sent your car go AC shop check.
as proton SC follow their SOP book i don think they can solve it in short time. especially after that probably coming with whole list of part change.
(example like master brake pump dead, they wanna to quote you whole brake system)

yep. at least pinpoint your issue first, check whatever it is major problem that will stranding you somewhere or minor hicup
then if you wanna back to SC then you go SC.

You can set child safety lock on the rear doors.

You need to use the physical key to turn the slot.

You can watch it here:

*
nope..he mean using remote/touching door only unlock the driver door not all the door. proton seem doesnt have such feature.

you guys know any walnut blasting on northern johor or melaka area?
wanna to clean throttle body or intake.

because sometime on traffic light, on auto hold D1 or N
car will vibrate with fixed interval, slightly giving it a little throttle/accelerator vibrate will gone for now.

at first i tot rpm dropped too low, but after observation..rpm still same.
changed sparkplug like 5K mileage ago, so i suspect throttle body or intake dirty now.

issue: it doesnt happen on every traffic light stop, so reproduce kinda hard as it random appear
*
QUOTE(josh5671 @ Aug 21 2025, 06:53 PM)
update on these situation.
just now replaced alternator pulley, it seem like the random vibrate 'solved', drive 40~50km stopped few traffic light seem like the vibrate almost not exist(back to normal feeling)
100% not sparkplug as i switched to original plug weeks ago and not solving that vibrate.
tldr: alternator pulley fault.
will update after days of use.
Edit:
I did notice my right side engine mounting (driver side) sink slightly, probably one of the reason the vibrate i mention previously transfer into cabin
still observing until i change the timing/fan belt..will change that mounting together too.
*
about 1 more week after replace alternator pulley.
that intermittent vibrate gone. so yes, if any one experiencing similar vibration.. don think...just replace that pulley

disclaimer: the amaron less tahan i think due to my alternator pulley, but by the time battery dead, my pulley isnt dead yet. pulley dead on aug 25

sorry i missed your reply.
replace timing belt need especial headed adapter (i not sure which type it use)
you probably can ask some germany car focused workshop, they most likely willing to help.

Anyone know if the infotainment system on the new X50 can be locked? i.e somewhat like a smartphone.

Its proving difficult to stop an inquisitive 5 year old who thinks that's a tab and wants to scroll and press everything on display  biggrin.gif
*
not from my knowledge. at least not on stock system.
if you already sideloaded....then there tons of choice.

After the 1st 1000km service my FC is now as follows:
City - 8L/100km
Highway - 6L/100km

Thats excellent for a SUV. Highway FC is a lot better than even Myvi. I think this new 4 cyl engine coupled with 7sp gb is working efficently.

Me here 3pot about the same fc. But me slightly heavy foot.

exdtan this X50 2025 deserves a V2 Thread with the new BHE15TD engine? 😇

i will prefer no...so everything focus on single thread, easier for almost everything.

edit:

Hi, can ask other x50 owners if you guys encountered the same issue i have. My x50 using for 3 years no issue, today suddenly when start up the car, the parking sensor was beeping continuosly. When i put car in reverse, saw on the screen it said parking assist system failure. Only after i manually off the sensor did it stop.

Tried to off on the car, clean the sensors outside, but the issue still happened. When put in reverse, the same error message will come out with continous beeping.
Did not bang anything with my car, was just parked, but it was raining heavily. Perhaps some water damage??
Otherwise driving is fine, just that i off the sensor so that no continous beeping.

Is there any fix for this, or i have to go to Service centre to change the sensor
*
probably one or more sensor failed. you may sent your car to accessories shop you let them test.

i recently buy 2 piece original sensor for my 1.5 almera. yesterday just sent to painting

Same, previously ppl say is Flywheel sound, but look like is GC tightening only
*
people did mention SC change the grounding cable and that tak tak sound gone.
i think thats for my case too, as they fix the flywheel like 8hour. as i passing car to SC like 1~2pm, and they say they done next morning 9am. and no gearbox oil changed.

QUOTE(SKYjack @ Nov 29 2025, 10:07 AM)
I guess you must be really enjoying the car....hahaha!

I used to be heavy foot but try to keep my speed to 110 nowdays. Anthony Loke is serious in implementing the new speed limit cameras. Now cannot slow down at camera spots to cheat. These new cameras will calculate average speed from spot to spot.
*
me on outskirt, not main city like JB/KL...so that less an issue especially me here oil palm truck move like 90+...you cant slower than that right? whistling.gif

but if me calm on pedal, i think i can get 12km/l + but much weaker than my almera.. thats why i looking for next car already, because using this car i keep going petrol station (not cost wise, just keep going station)

So far closing in 5th years, gearbox engine still good, and no funny noise. I'm quite happy with my unit especially sideloaded with AA in pre-atlas GKUI HU
*
me 8 month to full 5yr.

so far only changed 1 alternator pulley, 2 battery, 1 set of tyre (going 2nd set soon), all 4 window regulator bracket
claimed when in warranty: flywheel/gearbox grounding cable? (this one i not sure)

awaiting similar spec-ed car like Jaecoo J7 PHEV/C9 PHEV(HUUUGE Battery) and dont want that stupid retractable door handle:w

I'm looking for bigger car to accomodate bigger family,
Looking at X90 but turn me off with the odd gear design and absent of AA, additionally the phasing out 3 pot cylinder engine.

Other alternatives include the spacious Innova Zenix, but a step down on interior design and material use wise, including some smart feature like auto wiper, heck this so called new Toyota still using steel bone wiper blade, although that means cheaper to maintain but at this age of time...  thumbup.gif
*
current time with decent price can check china car. but SUV 7seater doesnt have good one...as you need pick between cargo space/thirdrow...
better just go for MPV but not suv.

me not yet have family, but i also gonna to pick bigger car.
currently aimed to tiggo 7 phev, havel h6, jaecoo j7 phev, or sealion7 for full ev.
if going bigger than SUV.. then not much choice already and everyone are 250K+

zenix not worth to get especially with the current price tag almost 200K
unless you got it with tons of discount.

i just did the HCA oil replacement + DCT oil change at the outside workshop when the car just finished warranty. not sure my butt -dyno, it makes it smoother gear change. Main reason to take care of the HCA since many kene when near hit 5 years and 80k km mileage++
*
i did DCT oil change about 70~80k.
but didnt do anything to HCA..what process of changing HCA oil? like change gearbox oil?

edit:
i plan to do it myself. as local shop mostly refuse even to change gearbox oil.

The workshop (Zordaq Bangi) removes the airbox filter, as picture, and removes the cap. Then use the suction machine to suck the existing old oil at the HCA parts, about 1L oil. Then refill the new DCT oil on that white box casing for 1L.
After that, change the normal DCT oil for 5L from below the GB.

suggest u visit Zordaq Bangi. they are able to perform the service even Im bring all the parts myself. Happy with this brand DCT, bought from their shopee mall + Mizu 0w40 fully synthetic for engine oil

yea..the time i change gearbox oil using 5L..but i accidentally spilled a little out. so like 4.7~4.8L+ in my gearbox.
didnt touch the HCA...later i study a little about HCA will do it soon..as now reaching 110K...scare it dead sudden....and it cost alot

those I saw who kene the HCA issue are at 80k, 90k and above 100k km mileage, and when ask owner who done above 150k km, all said they did an HCA oil change outside, cz Proton wont do it
Since mine already finished warranty, I did that, if that can prolong the HCA life. Only cost less than rm100 for 1L oil.
*
agree. because HCA cost like 2~3K...if a single L of oil change really make it survive another 100K...worth it.

i checking with the mechanic that help me change the timing belt, alternator pulley. see he can help or not.

The HCA oil they charge 1L dct oil price, using their own dct oil cz I only bring 5L DCT oil.

I kene rm100 charges for changing the engine oil + DCT oil where both of these I bring on own
*
cross check. HCA using the same dct oil like gearbox? or need specific oil?

Have anyone facing eSim problem all of a sudden no 4G connection since September 2025. Without 4G, Proton Link app cannot log trips, cannot remote control (eg. start), no updated car info and no location update.

Troubleshoot:
1. I did try the reset function via the fuse box but no success few times. Failed no 4G connection.
2. Update to latest infotainment system. Lost legacy infotainment system. Failed also no 4G connection.
Latest infotainment system have refresh looks but some annoying voice door opening warning. Didn't notice Hi Proton interruption during conversation as compared to legacy system.
3. Reset to factory default latest infotainment system. Still failed no 4G connection.
4. Changed to new battery after 2 yrs plus since having symptoms car difficult to start if left without driving for over a day. Still no 4G connection.
5. After 2 months plus without 4G connection  bangwall.gif , decided to ask SC to troubleshoot on next service.

confused.gif After 2 months plus of losing hope, 4G connection miraculously appeared!  hmm.gif
*
should suspect your t-box (telemetry box) failing.

when you buy the car? because it only free 5 yr of 4G/remote control feature.. after that need subscribe
