You can set child safety lock on the rear doors.

You need to use the physical key to turn the slot.

you guys know any walnut blasting on northern johor or melaka area?
wanna to clean throttle body or intake.

because sometime on traffic light, on auto hold D1 or N
car will vibrate with fixed interval, slightly giving it a little throttle/accelerator vibrate will gone for now.

at first i tot rpm dropped too low, but after observation..rpm still same.
changed sparkplug like 5K mileage ago, so i suspect throttle body or intake dirty now.

issue: it doesnt happen on every traffic light stop, so reproduce kinda hard as it random appear

update on these situation.
just now replaced alternator pulley, it seem like the random vibrate 'solved', drive 40~50km stopped few traffic light seem like the vibrate almost not exist(back to normal feeling)
100% not sparkplug as i switched to original plug weeks ago and not solving that vibrate.
tldr: alternator pulley fault.
will update after days of use.

I did notice my right side engine mounting (driver side) sink slightly, probably one of the reason the vibrate i mention previously transfer into cabin
still observing until i change the timing/fan belt..will change that mounting together too.

Do you guys know the cost of replacing timing belt x50 at Proton SC?

can recommend me outside workshop?

Anyone know if the infotainment system on the new X50 can be locked? i.e somewhat like a smartphone.

Its proving difficult to stop an inquisitive 5 year old who thinks that's a tab and wants to scroll and press everything on display 

After the 1st 1000km service my FC is now as follows:
City - 8L/100km
Highway - 6L/100km

Thats excellent for a SUV. Highway FC is a lot better than even Myvi. I think this new 4 cyl engine coupled with 7sp gb is working efficently.

Hi, can ask other x50 owners if you guys encountered the same issue i have. My x50 using for 3 years no issue, today suddenly when start up the car, the parking sensor was beeping continuosly. When i put car in reverse, saw on the screen it said parking assist system failure. Only after i manually off the sensor did it stop.

Tried to off on the car, clean the sensors outside, but the issue still happened. When put in reverse, the same error message will come out with continous beeping.
Did not bang anything with my car, was just parked, but it was raining heavily. Perhaps some water damage??
Otherwise driving is fine, just that i off the sensor so that no continous beeping.

Is there any fix for this, or i have to go to Service centre to change the sensor

Same, previously ppl say is Flywheel sound, but look like is GC tightening only

I used to be heavy foot but try to keep my speed to 110 nowdays. Anthony Loke is serious in implementing the new speed limit cameras. Now cannot slow down at camera spots to cheat. These new cameras will calculate average speed from spot to spot.

So far closing in 5th years, gearbox engine still good, and no funny noise. I'm quite happy with my unit especially sideloaded with AA in pre-atlas GKUI HU

I'm looking for bigger car to accomodate bigger family,
Looking at X90 but turn me off with the odd gear design and absent of AA, additionally the phasing out 3 pot cylinder engine.

Other alternatives include the spacious Innova Zenix, but a step down on interior design and material use wise, including some smart feature like auto wiper, heck this so called new Toyota still using steel bone wiper blade, although that means cheaper to maintain but at this age of time... 

i just did the HCA oil replacement + DCT oil change at the outside workshop when the car just finished warranty. not sure my butt -dyno, it makes it smoother gear change. Main reason to take care of the HCA since many kene when near hit 5 years and 80k km mileage++

The workshop (Zordaq Bangi) removes the airbox filter, as picture, and removes the cap. Then use the suction machine to suck the existing old oil at the HCA parts, about 1L oil. Then refill the new DCT oil on that white box casing for 1L.
After that, change the normal DCT oil for 5L from below the GB.

suggest u visit Zordaq Bangi. they are able to perform the service even Im bring all the parts myself. Happy with this brand DCT, bought from their shopee mall + Mizu 0w40 fully synthetic for engine oil

those I saw who kene the HCA issue are at 80k, 90k and above 100k km mileage, and when ask owner who done above 150k km, all said they did an HCA oil change outside, cz Proton wont do it
Since mine already finished warranty, I did that, if that can prolong the HCA life. Only cost less than rm100 for 1L oil.

The HCA oil they charge 1L dct oil price, using their own dct oil cz I only bring 5L DCT oil.

I kene rm100 charges for changing the engine oil + DCT oil where both of these I bring on own

Have anyone facing eSim problem all of a sudden no 4G connection since September 2025. Without 4G, Proton Link app cannot log trips, cannot remote control (eg. start), no updated car info and no location update.

Troubleshoot:
1. I did try the reset function via the fuse box but no success few times. Failed no 4G connection.
2. Update to latest infotainment system. Lost legacy infotainment system. Failed also no 4G connection.
Latest infotainment system have refresh looks but some annoying voice door opening warning. Didn't notice Hi Proton interruption during conversation as compared to legacy system. 
3. Reset to factory default latest infotainment system. Still failed no 4G connection.
4. Changed to new battery after 2 yrs plus since having symptoms car difficult to start if left without driving for over a day. Still no 4G connection.
5. After 2 months plus without 4G connection  , decided to ask SC to troubleshoot on next service.

After 2 months plus of losing hope, 4G connection miraculously appeared!
