Does anyone here felt weird that Aurobay (Volvo + Geely Powertrain) has removed its 3cyl 1.5TGDi engine while it is no longer being offered by Volvo and surely being phased out by Geely but for Proton it is putting it in every foreseeable car possible including future ones.

Currently only Proton and Geely Philippines still offering the 1.5TGDi 3 cylinder X50/Coolray while all other Geely supplied country has updated to the 4 Cyl TGDi option including Geely Cambodia that sounds kinda sad.

i mean for 3 years+ ownership? nothing broke yet. but i just claimed drive shaft last year. thats about it.

side mirror not changed
alternator not kaput like some reported
windows still working on all sides
tyres prolly due for a change. looking into michelin (i have lost faith in continental)
edit: still gets me up to 220kmph (dont ask for FC haha)

it went down in 2nd year. and those who observed kluk kluk or some bumpy noise when going over speed bumps or potholes in low speed will go and claim it. and warranty for that part will be extended. at least thats what i got from the club

which mean you have more concern even without asking owner feedback, then this car shouldn't in your wishlist at all.
Actually apply 'if any doubt, dont buy' can apply on car even home appliance. as all these need to stay with you for years

because when count in how low the B segment EV pricing. 100K+ actually have tons of choice, can avoid like honda steering rack, x50 cyl/driveshaft, chery broken torsion beam drama.
but again, all these new comer EV still 'new' we dont know their quality, who know we get another chery 

This engine has already been in use since 2016. You can search the Chinese forums or groups to see if there are any issues.

A bit difficult to ask local users since Proton only brought this model in recently at the end of 2020.

wonder how is EV maintenance like, i see mostly these days got lifetime warranty on motor and battery and what not. but how about other stuff lol.

those are like tanks, suspension and tyre most likely is the fastest wear

I'm getting this x50 upon discount given. Hopefully can last long.

Mine is also 3 years plus and this dual mass flywheel problem getting louder especially on 6th gear and going uphill. Might also hear it at 5th and 7th gear at certain speed. Booked to get it replaced and have to leave the car for few days. Estimate damage is 2K plus. Check the parts selling in shopee is 2.5K. Very unfortunate that this issue came up after 3 years where the warranty expired. I didn't even manage to drive for more than 6 months during MCO time.

To check if that things are covered under unlimited mileage 5 years warranty or *3 years 60k km, afraid on the later. Cz if u look at t&c, only engine, gb part are under unlimited mileage warranty but again there are *t&c on it

family members buying x50 facelift premium spec, any idea the spec, tint brand, as told factory installed the tint.

You can change the steering wheel to sport if you want to to be heavier.
