Its a bit too late at this point of time, if really want to get another car better do it as soon as possible. Most places also need at least 1-2 months queue. X70 is out of the picture, heard waiting time now is 2-3 months already.

Oh noo.. thanks for your comment.. guess will have to keep rushing my SA..

Today the SA contact me, saying that he got info from the dealer and several other SA from other dealers as well, that upcoming X50 comes out from the factory will already be fitted with the accessories package. It is up to the customer,to either chuck up the cash in order to get their car, or wait for their car without the accessories.

If my car without the accessories cannot come before the end of the year, I might consider to cancel the purchase altogether. No use of getting the car this year, when you are forced to buy that accessories that you may barely used.
*
I'm also having the same dilemma. Got new vios launching 3rd week of dec with price roughly the same as the current one. Rumor i heard was there will be extension of the sst rebate, but they wont tell people..

I really hope the gov will extend the SST exemption. I believe many ppl including myself who booked the car on 16th sept has yet to receive the car. My SA isn't confident I'll be getting it this year.
Really disappointed with Proton as their allocation is not following the booking number.
*
Another alternative would be to wait for next year discount. Vios is a good choice since the price before/after sst discount is just rm1k.

From picture looks like crack/scratches at both side. Could be a blessing as well for those who haven't received their cars yet this year  laugh.gif  laugh.gif Let all the cash buyers & VIP's get their defect units  thumbup.gif

Yeah but i also want my car & discount..

this proton really sampah
booked a unit on sept
all paper settled and just need to WAIT

Now get call from sales saying that priority will be given to those who take the RM3500 package o0o
still so lansi to say
"if you take the package, confirm can get by this month"
"if don't want, then next year maybe end of jan or feb will get"
"aiya, you see, you spend 3500 now and get it, but you need to pay SST , even higher than 3500 if you get next year"
"so consider it wisely"

ccb
I just reply
"prepare to get my cancellation after the SST price gap being announce"

END CALL

who knows maybe CMCO will extend even longer and SST exemption would be extended as well
then those who compromise to take the stupid rubbish package will rage LOLLLL
*
Look for alternative car already.. im also canceling if havent get the car by this year..

yes supported ur decision. fight to get x50 asap for sst rebates, but get quality concern as some owner shown here. somemore need to add few k for accessories, similar treatment as Bermaz
*
What happened with Bermaz?
Yeah i believe there will be some defects also since the factory is rushed to produce by this year..

QUOTE(christ14 @ Dec 1 2020, 01:50 PM)
well already december. should start going to other showroom
*

I agree. You won't be thinking of resale value when you purchase a Proton car.

Usually, you'd buy a Proton due to the value it gives to YOU.

For me, Proton cars usually gives me the best value (subjective to each individual) for the money spent.

Being a decently kitted, comfortable & a nice car to drive relatively to the price, are what I value most.

If not, better get a Perodua.

* Still waiting for that Executive X50  (T_T)
*
Agree.. because you already "save" the money upfront if you compare to other rivals.. btw new Elantra looks nice..

Hey, stupid question: Can you connect your phone to the infotainment screen through bluetooth and play songs from your phone = audio comes out from the car speakers?
*
Yes, i think in phone settings also you can change that.

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Dec 6 2020, 09:36 PM)
So, I actually cancelled my earlier booking (personal reasons) but now want to make a new booking. The same SA told me it's 6 months waiting period sweat.gif

Any dealer to recommend that has less waiting time?

Flagship variant, snow white.
*
Try the small branch one for lesser queue. I'm considering cancel and getting other car already since no news..

SA just gave me a call confirming I'm probably not getting the car this year.

30 cars incoming, all Flagship, multiple colours.
But for my colour, White, I'm number 20+ lol.

Gg, see what happens next year.
*
Yeah.. missed out the chance to get sst rebate..

Does Intelligent Cruise Control combine ACC with lane keep assist?

So with ICC, I don't need to press on the accelerator, the car will just follow the car in front with a pre determined distance All I need to do is to steer the car only?

So if I only want the car to cruise at a certain speed without following the car in front, I should use ACC instead of ICC? With ACC, I don't get lane keep assist/lane centering assist?

How does the lane keep assist work when your hands are on the steering wheel? The car will override your steering to keep the car in the lane?

Wapcar Adrian got explain the differences.. can go check it out..

Honestly, dah tawar hati nak tunggu kereta nye sampai. Sebab saya follow FB page of the dealer, at least ada satu X50 delivery every 3 days. Chase SA, SA kata belum you punya turn lagi. Tunggu saja la.

If betul tak dapat kereta before 31/12, consider cancel altogether la booking semua.
*
Same.. might just settle for new vios, launching next week..

Hey everyone. Long time lurker on this thread and seen every X50 video (except the new 1 hr video from Hafriz).

Getting tired of waiting 2 months for the X50 dy.. and probably will need to wait 3-6 months. Plus SST gonna kick in soon. What do you guys think between X50 Flagship vs Honda Civic TC-P? I know there's a RM30k gap but if we put that aside, would you go for it? Considered the City V but I'm not impressed that they inherited old engine and didn't provide any ADAS at all in a 2020 model for RM90k. Hence thinking of switching over to Civic TCP.

Sorry if not right forum feel free to ignore. Look forward to any advice.
*
If you really want the civic, i would recommend the 1.8. Honda turbo have problems. Im also tired of waiting and wanted something similar but couldnt afford to top up 30k (if you can, consider altis?).

I went for the new vios, at least it has AEB and LDA compared to the city V spec.

Neutral soap water to clean leather

The manual indicate the use of this to clean the interior.

What is neutral soap water and is there is simple household agent suitable for use ?
I donot want to spend RM 100 on a bottle of soap !
*
Usually car products like osren, turtlewax, meguiars will write ph neutral on their bottle.

QUOTE(ayamxxx @ Mar 19 2021, 10:23 AM)
Just buy turtle wax leather conditioner. Usually tesco give promotion at rm29/bottles
*
Yeah i'd recommend this too. Sometimes shopee cheaper with vouchers.

are your disc brakes also like this?

Normal for any car if you didn't drive for along time, just drive it and it will remove those rusts as you brake..
Alternatively, you can invest in wheel cleaners with iron removers thumbsup.gif

Thanks. What type would be a reliable wax? Was using the Soft99 brand on old car, but lama2 no shine juga... blush.gif
*
Soft99 fusso? That doesnt shine but it is durable.
If u want shine, need to use soft99 extreme gloss.
Or try other brands like meguiars, turtlewax, osren..

Also, we still got sst rebate until end of the year. If you really want x50 and you can wait then okay. If not, you might want to check out other cars. But definitely there will be delay, just that x50 queue is really long (and depends on SA also)

these 3 also can get car fast?
*
Might be faster compared to x50. Need to check which branch has more allocation, especially now since no more sst extension.
Try visiting afew branch (less famous preferable) to get ahead of the queue.
