How to overcharge the phone? Don’t iPhones have auto cut off when charged to full?
*
Overcharging above 85% is considered to be non beneficial to lithium ion batteries. The characteristics of lithium ion batteries would be that it doesn't prefer below 20% battery level and over 85% battery level. So charging it over this point would be considered overcharging it.

No, your phone doesn't really stop charging when it reaches 100% battery level. The phone would trickle charge the phone from 80% onwards till it reaches 100%, stop the charge and then continue to top up to 100% once the battery levels drop, if your phone is plugged in.

Oh crap. That's bad news for me. I usually just plonk it on the charger and go to sleep. I'll stop doing that from now on! Thanks for the tip!

If you want to do that, you could get charging cables which would automatically stop charging once it reaches 100%. McDODO cables are one of the brands which produces cables with such features.

Apparently yes, coz I remember very early on iPhone XS owners had the battery health percentages dropping 2-3% even in the first month of ownership. It was better for the XS Max.

Pro max at 98% since March.

Heavy user, its my main work phone. Heavy phone calls, emails, social chat apps, apple music and some gps. Turn off a lot of thing i dont need, like notification on most apps that i dont need them, turn off siri, turn off alot of location on apps i dont need them to run, turn off background refresh and data on apps that i dont use daily, 0 gaming.

7-10 hour screen on everyday.

Charge with powerbank only once per day, which is at night when i am going to bed. My powerbank will auto cut off charging once my phone battery has been charged to 100%.

You spend so much money on a phone, might as well use it to the max. Why save it for the next user.

Agreed, at first I was a bit unhappy when it dropped 1-2% but now I just use it to the max, if the batt weakens.. just send it to batt replacement.
