Since i think not many people is buying CX-3, hope to get the car very fast. Anything that we should be aware of?
Thank you

QUOTE(trapezohedron13 @ Jul 12 2020, 12:36 PM) Had wanted to get one for the wife, but after test driving and "feel" the car, the wife doesn't like it. Feels cramped, driving just so-so. She's currently with a Myvi and doesn't feel much difference in terms of size and spaciousness. In summary, bring her to test and view to see if it fits her requirements. Yes. I suggested X70 of course since similar price. But she wants small car. X70 too big. Small is fine for her

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 12 2020, 12:44 PM) Cramped interior. The 2.0NA feels suitably powerful for that car size. Decent FC. Mazdas are generally reliable, except in some cases major parts just suddenly fail out of the blue. In my family's case, the AC compressor died in the 4th year, low mileage car. Not covered by warranty. Mazda got 5 years warranty right? How come not covered? Supposed to come with 5 years warranty and 3 years free service

QUOTE(cempedaklife @ Jul 12 2020, 01:14 PM) What? Not covered by warranty? Wth. My thought. If you cannot afford to get cx5, please dont opt for cx3. Same with HRV. Just for the sake of getting and SUV but you couldn't afford it seems like a bad decision. So small. Go for mazda 3? New Mazda 3 price is 160k. Budget is 130k only

QUOTE(budang @ Jul 12 2020, 01:45 PM) If space is in your priority, drop the CX-3. It's really tight especially the back row. HRV excels really well in space segment. But if your mom is in no rush to get a new car, I think the upcoming Proton X50 provides a really good value for money. I think it'll be launching in Malaysia by end of Q3 with price ranging from 75-90k. Already have HRV in the family. Hence why she's going with CX-3. I agreed with you. Space is really limited in CX-3.

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 12 2020, 03:42 PM) apparently 5 yrs warranty not for the whole car. Need to clarify with Mazda then. Must be like Proton, only engine and transmission 5 years. The rest only 3 years

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 12 2020, 03:54 PM) IMHO CX3 is a lifestyle car with limited practicality. It looks good and drives well but that's all there is about it. For me, once the novelty wears off, the question of whether it was worth that price (135k when we bought) will surface. Despite all the huuhaa about Mazda's "premium" quality, there are still plenty of scratchy cheap plastic parts in the cabin. If your family already have HRV and your mom will be driving this car alone most of the time, then there are worse choices out there to spend >RM130k on (ahemCHRahem). Actually i was under the impression that CX-3 is 120k. Then only knows that it's 130k when i go check it out with my mom. Have no idea when did they increased the priced

QUOTE(dares @ Jul 12 2020, 04:22 PM) I don't think it ever dropped to 120k. 135k was when it was new here, the pre-facelift. My family's unit was one of the first batch that arrive at our shores. I never drove the facelifted version, but the pre-facelift NVH cam haram, worse than my Persona Elegance. Didn't even have a door unlock button, you unlock the door with that flip button near the door latch like a 1st gen Vios. RM135k car wtf. NVH cam haram? I thought some k forumer here say Mazda is premium brand? Import CBU Japan summore ma This post has been edited by JoeK: Jul 12 2020, 04:26 PM
