Has anyone transferred money to Thailand or overseas before?

What is the best exchange rate from ringgit in Malaysian banks?

The exchange rate in Maybank is bad when compared to market rate. cry.gif

First time use transferwise, did mine on Monday 1.50pm from myr to thb

Until now also haven't transfer yet, status is Sending and mention the process is longer then usual

There's no helpline to be called?

What is the exchange rate that Transferwise gave you?

The best rate is 1000 baht = 135 ringgit

7.335

5th working day and there's still pending and status showing sending for 2 days already

If end of the day still no result gonna cancel the transaction

7.33 is low. For cash money, we can get 7.38 at Superrich.

try Instarem or Trans Fast.
all within a day if you do in the morning like before 11am

you will get SMS once masuk at Destination bank

I am not interested in fast services, if I transfer using Maybank I can get in one day but the exchange rate is very bad. Maybank earns a lot of money.

I am only interested in good exchange rate. I can wait one or two weeks.

I found this and it seems that Instarem is the best. How do they verify our Malaysian bank account?

Transferwise.  1st time take 2 to 3 days...thereafter few hours for repeat transactions.  Also rate transferwise follow midpoint....absolute reliable fintech.

But how do they verify your Malaysian bank account?

Thanks for your feedback. Transferwise is no good then.

How about InstaRem? This website says it gives good exchange rate.

The details of malaysia bank account is provided by oneself.

Name and bank accouny number should tally.
The comparison or money transfer need to include fees as well.  Not just exchange rate.

Transferwise hold the mid range rate and charge minimum fees.

But the link monito said Instarem is cheaper by a lot. Have you tried Instarem before?

What are the pros and cons of Istarema versus Transferwise?

well..i submit whatever documents what they wanted and especially your relationship to the receiver.

i try sending rm500...no problem but on my 2nd time sending above 1k...they ask again on questionnaire form to fill again despite i have make payment beforehand.

after answering ...then the fund go thru.
Instarem work well during the MCO period as MoneyChanger all close.

SINCE MoneyChanger resume operation...i go back to this service instead...

Waa.. Why so troublesome? Everytime must fill up questionnnaire? hmm.gif

Does Transferwise also ask us to fill up questionnaire everytime we transfer?

I created a Transferwise account and it was easy. Just scan my IC and face, no need to send any documents or my bank account.

I transferred to my friend in India and he received within one day. This is my first transfer.

I haven't tried Instarem yet. Can anybody tell me what's the process of creating an account with Instarem?

1. Instarem

Fastest amongst all other platforms that I've used before. Very very competitive rates. Transfers to Indonesia done within 6 hours. India Thailand Nepal within the same day. Very efficient customer support.

What about Transferwise, what is your opinion on that?
