I have this annoying situation. I have to grow my food garbage during the day, else the ants will crawl all over.
I can't even leave food out for 5 min wihout the sugar ants come and crawl all over.
During the night I can see ants crawling on the wall.
If we accidentally left any food out, the ants would massacre the food.
There was a time we left clean tissues in the drawer, the ants made it into a nest.
I had enough when I saw ants started crawling on my baby's chair and wanted to make a nest in it.
I want to call Pesticide co to come to do some monthly spraying.
But my wife is pregnant.
Is it safe to do so ?

By the way, my whole condo is infested by ants, some residents have already resorted to calling their own pesticide co.

Dont call pest people come first. I think there could be natural remedies for your situation. I googled before they said u can bait the ants with baking soda mixed with some chemical, make sure u dont have small kids, and place it where they frequent, add sugar to it too so they will be attracted, then they will eat it and bring to their queen and they will all die together. Or something like that. Pesticides is quite dangerous for pregnant women. Better do that as your last resort. The chemicals they use are very harmful. Last time I had a client calling pesticide to spray anti termite chemicals and gosh, the house stank for the whole day! And its actually harmful if inhaled! Tsk..

Sugar ants = black ants?

Get some borax powder, they are non-toxic. Sprinkle around areas where you see them, they will be gone...

You can try those chalk poison draw along the bottom of the wall. Ants won't cross the chalk line

This will be your best friend, just put wherever you think the nest is closest. The ants will bring it to their nest and it will offgas, killing the colony

That’s very different. Termites are usually resistant to most of the common pesticides. They will be killed by arsenic based compounds. And arsenic is toxic to humans if inhaled or ingested.

I got one type of powder...looks like brown sugar. Ants will eat and then carry back to thier HQ....everyone eat....and die

And leave some at corner of my kitchen cabinet just incase they don't insaf

You can just get those ant pesticides from sundry shops. Its like sugar which ants will be attracted to..Just put it where you often see ants crawl. They then bring it back to their nest for food and it'll kill off the colony. Worked for me.

Usually added with sugar so they will bring back to nest and destroy the entire colony with the queen dead

Any product with fipronil. My confident of it work is at 145%

Best to send your wife to holiday for 12 hours and then you do the work.

Borax or boric powder plus sugar with some water to make paste like. Put it along the trails.

5 tea / table spoon with 1 tea / table spoon borax / boric. Too much borax or boric will drive away the ants as it will not eat the sugar or take it back to the nest for the queen.

Nope its very super effective and easy to use. Its in liquid form. Just spray on the ants and you tengok the colony just disappear

Cypermethin ai you need to spray on the ants to die. It only kill what you see

+1 sugar ants will eat it clean if used honey/syrup + borax, those coastal small type red ants are more fussy.

Another option is to buy ant bait, get the less poisonous one which contains fipronil.

This should be the one with fipronil.

My room was next to the stairs which has a trash can dat most people will throw food/etc into it. So sometimes ants will start coming in making a nest inside the cracks in walls/wall sockets. Annoying since every morning confirm will got some ants kamikazed inside kettle. Oso kenot put canned drinks on top of table too, sometimes didn't notice oredi got ants inside lel.

It worked for me at least as wat i experienced la.
kinda fun oso see those ants carry the pellets back to their nest unknowingly.

But don't seem effective at all.

Only spray when she not at home

Sugar is the bait, borax or boric is the poison.

Without sugar, the ants will avoid the smell of borax. That why you cannot mix too much borax to sugar portion.

Give you and your wife a week long holiday and get pest control to nuke your house.

if that much of ants no choice have to go for bait in your unit and get ur resident blocks to request management to spray whole block. push for it.

for bait dont give up , if one brand dont work buy another. and as others already say try mix with sugar, milo, pepsi etc.....whatever attract the ants. the ants are very picky.......

Can get those food grade type also.I got mine from Lazada. I used it for tick(they die) for my dog(still alive as i sprinkle onto his fur as a baby powder,since he lick i had to get the food grade) and ants(they disappear) in kitchen.
Just sprinkle along the places those ants walking path or nearby the holes they come from.
Suggest you get a small one and try at one room or area first just incase yours is mutant ant.
If it work get a bigger pack and prepare to use for a long term as you said whole apartment block seem to having the same issue.
