Losing income and job when it's not part of your plan is hard regardless of enough savings or not.

Because people plan for retirement (which is usually at 50+ even 60+)?

Im referring to mid 40s people losing their job, with loans to service and family to feed

i've experienced retrenchment when i was 24. Bloody miserable since low savings.

Now in early 40s, I've saved enough that I dont have to work anymore.

So yeah, I think it's better to lose job when older because by right one should have more savings.

You're assuming everyone has the same issues in life.
Some people has families or old folks to take care of.
Not to mention themselves or family members falling sick.

I had a friend who works in HR in a bank when I was in first year of uni. She told me, “Usually, it doesn’t matter if you go to a good university or not, as long as you’re an overseas graduate, employers would love to hire you”.

So I was pretty confident I’d get a job, no problem.

I prepared my CV and Cover Email and applied to so many job openings. And you know, for big companies, they’d have the (really hard) assessments? I did countless of those.

After 9 months of applications, I only had ONE interview and no job. So much for being an overseas graduate. When I talked about giving up, everyone would say, “Don’t!”

Then when I finally came to Symphony, they wanted to help fresh graduates and unemployed experienced hires by making their job application process easier with their Cover Emails, CVs and Interviews. I watched all three videos and everything I was confident I did right, well… I didn’t.

No wonder I didn’t get any callbacks. I did everything Doshu’s videos said NOT to!

If you’re having a hard time getting a job, be smart and save your time. Time is money. If spending on #Doshu will get you employed, then why not?

likewise the past decade or so, companies have been pushing for specialisation, target market specialist, which in other words if the target market is dead, the person also dies with the specialisation.
