I got 1 old Raleigh city bike alloy frame too. Too lazy to restore it.

May be next time if can find cheap shimano dynamo hub then can think about it.

You should do it. It is therapeutic.

I saw your bike seem look new, you repaint it ? Your bike put indoor or outdoor?

Last time I put outdoor, steel brake / steel spoke / steel hub / steel brake lever / headset / steel basket / steel rear carrier rack / steel bell all rust. This is why I am too lazy to restore it.

Last time saw this:

but no buy. Now no stock.

I only managed to salvage the fork and the frame.it looks new because after I disassemble it, it gave it a thorough polish.

no wonder your bike look shining like new.

city bike component can be found at cheap price in china and now a lot made from alloy. You plan to put front basket on your bike ?

Recently bought shimano pizza size rotor and just notice the model is significant different compare with what I bought few year ago.

New rotor made in china, the material surface so different from made in japan.

Really GG.

Hybrid means can go on road and a bit on gravel.. coz I ride mostly on road, so want to look for tyre suitable for it.

My current tyre is 2.25 inch wide.. most road tyre is like less than 2.25.. maybe 1.5 to 1.9 I think. So not sure can fit stock rim or not..
*
no need change rim.

Just you want to make sure your current wheel is using tubeless or non tubeless. Mostly need to change is the inner tube if your current wheel is non tubeless.

example :

If your rim is AV then use back AV tube else FV use back FV tube.

No i don't ride it, the young stranger didn't allow me on his bike nor even let me help to fix it.  He looked super confuse after i pointed out something hugely wrong on his bike.  His toe feet keep on scrapping the front tire as he turn the steering and he seems to wiggle a lot when ever he corner.  doh.gif  I suggest him to visit the bike shop back and demand refund or get the bike fixed.

Since you put money in his pocket, does he got thanks you ?

You really a kind person.

and this after holiday:

Honestly many manufacture already discontinue this shock standard. I've almost searching the whole Asia to get this. For those who still aiming this standard should be act quickly before it is too late. Lucky I'm still able to get the model and the spring rate I want.

Yeah coil spring for forks tend to not be on top of most consumers mind, the weight penalties seem to be one of the reason
*
Correct. Now trend all go to enduro all in 1 bike. Some more new design for short rear shock to reduce weight.

More to compensate for the rear linkage design, you are referring to the trunnion mounts right?
*
Now 265mm/267mm so less can be choose. Most brand no longer produce anymore. Really GG.

I am not sure the cheap definition refer to but you can still find brand new original product at cheap price like below:

Cannondale 31.8mm around RM6.34

Dahon 34.9 / 35mm around RM6.67

Unless you are finding very rare size like what I do previously. That one really so less option for me to choose.

Nice. Where do you find this?

Mine is RISK brand. Cheap at RM12 and lightweight at 14g only.
I prefer bolt on type as Im using carbon seatpost. That way I can set the torque.
*
Sure from mighty TB

RM12 is not cheap until you seek those:

All above are 35mm model. I'm not sure what size you want just give example for your reference.

I saw a lot people use RISK headset but not other components.

Most of my friends use RISK bolts for their bike from the headset, handlebar, rotors, etc..etc..
*
Good or not?

headset only 1 bolt, handlebar? seem no need bolt. Only stem need 6~8 bolts. Rotors your friend use back torx type or hex type?

I only use A2 bolts. Rotors I use secure torx bolts. Lucky all my frame bolts no need change.
