Is Digi Fiber internet good? Reliable service? My area just recently got internet fiber, I'm thinking either Unifi or Digi. Right now Digi is offering me good price for 300mbps since I'm a long time inifinite 150 user.

Care to share what’s the price? I’m also a long term Digi user with multiple postpaid plans, inclusive of Digi Infinite 150. I’m thinking to apply for Digi or Celcom Fibre once I move into my new place in few months time. I didn’t consider UniFi this round because I may need to terminate it earlier once TIME arrives and for Digi/Celcom Fibre I only need to pay RM 500 termination fees which usually TIME may absorb.

Digi will also use UniFi infrastructure as well. They will also use TIME infra if available. So I guess it’s fine if you want to go for Digi.

They offer me Digi Internet Freedom 150. Which is 300mbps downstream and 50mbps upstream I think.
Normal price is Rm150. They say here they give RM20 lifetime rebate + RM30 rebate for 24 months (this one is for digi postpaid subscriber) .

Which brings down the price to RM100 per month not including tax. RM106 with tax. Not bad eh?

My only concern is the 'best effort basis' in the term. If they cannot at least give constant download speed 100mbps, might consider downgrade to Digi Fiber 130.

The most recent MCMC guideline mandated that fixed broadband service provider to achieve 90% of the advertised speed 90% of the time. So the 'best effort' is 300Mbps and 'worst effort' is 270Mbps 90% of the time.

Sweet. That's reassuring.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Apr 21 2021, 09:40 AM)
That's a very good deal actually. Not sure if I will be tied with contract. laugh.gif Sounds like it may.

Where did you get the offer? Digi Centre?
*
Got SMS from digi (DigiBOS) saying they're a doing a campaign for digi fiber. I somehow click on the link. My area never had any fiber connection, so I jokingly search for my address and surprisingly somehow my area is now covered. Filled their form to register interest last week, then 3 days later got email reply.

Right now I'm thinking either Digi or Unifi. Unifi because someone told me you can get 'free' VIP TV Box with one time payment or whatnot. But because I can't find anything written anywhere in black and white about this promo TV box, I'm more leaning towards the discount offered by digi. Plus I got a lot of laptops lying around the house, I don't think I need a tv box.

edit: found the T&C for unifi TV Box. it's a whopping RM100 difference from digi for the same downstream speed. plus some subscription services fee. too much to read. I think I'll go with digi and stick with astro.

where was it that i read:
TM always reset your contract back to 2 years on flimsy excuse.
upgrade plan? reset contract.
terminate hyyptv? reset contract.
downgrade plan? reset contract.
gobindh instruct to give more? reset contract.
you sneezed? reset contract.
*
and also, i remember few years back trying to stop streamyx subscription... they ask me to make 30 days notice, give reason why i want to terminate and only the person registered to the account can terminate.

I reported to MCMC, I say that TM intentionally making it hard for their customers to terminate account for making these stupid T&C. And then TM replied that it was all in T&C...

Hi, want to ask, how does the PhoneFreedom 365 actually works? I mean, what's the catch? Currently I'm subscribed to the old Digi Infinite 150. Can continue with the old plan and get a phone under the PhoneFreedom? Tried the online store, it seems like they ask me to sign for the new Postpaid 150.

Anyone using prepaid Next 35?

Is it normal that they throttle the internet speed at the last day? I only used 2GB out of 30GB quota. In the app said the plan will renew in 12 hours. I can still make calls, but the signal will drop to 3G, which is unusual because im using a volte enabled phone and it has always use 4G for calls before this.

Mine different problem. In about 9 hours left, the data will be cut off. No more plan subscription and only using the basic internet. I wonder why everymonth like this? Cannot use till the actual deadline.

Sounds about the same. I just send MCMC report under network problem. But I think this falls under unfair practice or T&C dispute but MCMC option doesnt have the specific choice to complaint this blatant robbery.

Users paid for 30 days. We should get 30 days.

Please be informed that there will be a cooling period after the change of line to Digi for the OTP/TAC number service which is will be within 48 hours from the activation date. It is due to the server will still detect the previous telco and in process to change to the current telco. In the event that you still have the issue after 48 hours, you may contact us again so that we can check further on the issue.

Look like got cooling period. Didn't know that

Does this include credit reload too?

Just ported in my number from yodoo to digi. Took only half a day.

Digi store assistant charge me RM30. RM10 for new SIM card. RM20 for NEXT20.

After activation of the SIM, I instantly got SMS saying that my one time NEXT20 subscription was suspended due to insufficient credit.

Last time I port in from umobile I only have to pay for the SIM card so I'm not sure if the digi store assistant did something unusual.

Hi all. I run into bit of problem here.

Ported in to Digi today. Charged total RM30, 10 for SIM and 20 for prepaid next.

Upon SIM activation, I found that my number cannot subscribe to NEXT20 because my number have 0 credit.

The did the port in at digi express store. No receipt was given. I wonder if this is normal.

MNP-i should be zero Ringgit. SIM is FOC. Once MNP-ed, then only reload... Please go back to the "store" and get clarification on the RM20 credit missing ... a bit tricky if no receipt given during registration and hoping the Seller (this is not DiGi Store if SIM is charged RM10) is honest ...

It does say Im subscribed to NEXT20 here.

But it does smells weird because how can they add RM20 to my number before I even port in to Digi.

Their have add the plan into your port in application. It's done automatically right after port in successfully. It's like you port in using Digi website. You select your plan and they will ship the SIM to you. Once everything okay, the plan will be added by the system automatically.
*
I see. Seems like something went wrong with the system then.

Support ticket updated now, says pending closure. So fast la digi work. Unlike yodoo that takes.... weeks.

My experience with mnp in store and online.
Last year December i mnp 2 number using both method.

In store (maybe is dealer)
They take one month payment and preactivate the plan.
When successfully port in, the sim is inactive because balance 0, altho it has subs next35.
I called digi they said is a bug, because balance 0 the next35 plan will auto cancel/inactive. They help contact the dealer to buy the next35 again.

NOTE: even topup rm5 it will not activate back the plan! U must contact the dealer or digi cust service for it.

Online mnp digi site
Same paid one month next35 and received sim activated. Balance 1 sen and sim is active.
*
went back to the store, they quickly top up RM20 for my number without any question. seems like a common thing.

converted physical sim to e-sim, everything works fine. somehow feels like a breath of fresh air after yodoo e-sim that refuses to activate VoLTE for me after a month contacting support.

Rather silly question here, but I would like to use my old physical sim instead of esim. How do I do that? Still have the old physical sim with me. Do I have to walk in to digi service center to use the physical sim?

How low is the speed cap? If 3mbps 6 mbps, better just use 4g.
Resubmit the port out request.

Got the SMS right after commented here, after waiting the whole day. I guess someone from digi support lurks here.
